The hidden gems. The well-kept secrets. Or simply put, the tracks that deserve that extra bit of spotlight, before they sail the sound waves of the global clubs. Some, you’ve never heard before. Others, you’ve been waiting for, for months or maybe years, to be released. Well, here they are, 10 new musical jewels, gathered on ‘Armada Exclusive Tracks & Remixes Vol. 5’.
One of the highlights of John O’Callaghan’s ‘Unfold’ album, is the stunning ‘Mess Of A Machine’. Irish producer Bryan Kearney, a big fan of John’s work, remixed this beauty and gave some extra uplifting spices. What’s cooking in the kitchen of the Magic Island studios is ever hot, and so the dub mix of Roger Shah’s collab with Kosheen, ‘Shine’, is an essential one to this package. Canadian talent Jerome Robins honors a classic, ‘Lustral – Everytime’, in a minimalistic, deep and tech-house flavoured remix. Romania’s bringing us the talents of young producer Anhken, with his proggy deep ‘Unfair’, while Russia’s playing cards with the trancy tune ‘Alderaan’, by Stan Wise.
Tunisian producer Wach teamed up with Hjerkinn, resulting in a melodic, outstanding tune called ‘What If’. Another powerful tune in this pack, is Iver Dezz remix of David Jones’ ‘Incredible’. Sliding from feel-good house to the deeper, proggy stuff, we hit the warm and welcoming ‘Utopia’, by UK producer Hanski and South Korean talent Jjoo. Ruby & Tony go all in with the trousy ‘B7’, while Alex Martello & Looneys give a melodic, emotional remix to the cheerful tune of Aqua Diva – What Is Love?’.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Its the right time to finish off the summer season with some tasty exclusives that Armada Officers kept in their hard drives and they decide that is time the world to know them and the djs to adore them. 10 must have items that cover a wide range of styles and genres to satisfy your set from warm up material to peak time euphoria. In other words you can device a whole dj set with those 10 and get thumps up from your crowd. First of all is the magnificent new version by Jerome Robins Mix on Lustral's evergreen classic Everytime. His version is deep progressive house with tech and of course some trance touches and kisses as well. The result is a hypnotic groovy trippy version that does justice on the original. Roger Shah & Kosheen collaboration Shine is included as well on the Magic Island Dub remix. If you like things epic and euphoric without the vocal just the melody and the pumping balearic beats choose this version. David Jones & Total Sound feat. Devonne hit single Incredible (Virgo) is remixed by Iver Dezz. The track is Incredible and heavily played by many jocks. Iver Dezz remix goes on the big room epic prog house direction with slightly altered original melodic theme and great use of the top sing a long vocals. Large breakdown with piano and some rock touches as well. Aqua Diva - What Is Love on Alex Martello & Looneys Remix. Ruby & Tony who build great reputation about their name spice up the proceedings with their proglifting - B7 on its Original Mix. Very strong and memorable melodic themes upon the pumping house infused beats and basslines lead us on the breakdown that the very euphoric happy sunny synths come to the surface and drive us all the way to the full on hands in the air climax. The journey continues with the trancier choices. The top producer Bryan Kearney delivers his great remix on John O'Callaghan feat. Kathryn Gallagher awesome anthem Mess Of A Machine. Kathryn very unique retro pop vocals colorize the tough rocking pumping beats and his breakdown is hands in the air euphoria when the feel good synths radiate energy and excite the clubbers. Anhken is a beloved progressive trance magician and his track Unfair that is included is a beautiful melodic trippy prog trance anthem with electro touched melodic lead and chopped vocal samples that used as an instrument to create a melody rather than to sing something meaningful. The result is an involving and very attractive melodic trancer.
Stan Wise is next with Alderaan. Solid uplifting smasher that includes big classical orchestral theme in the breakdown along with chopped vocals and euphoric synthy layers that will get you jumping with that smiley face for sure. Hanski & Jjoo collaboration for Utopia is a fantastic club rocking progressive trancer with memorable melodic theme and groovy dirty twisted parts as well. Lastly Wach & Hjerkinn co-production What If is a lovely progressive trancer with warm welcoming atmosphere and top notch melodic synthy theme in the breakdown that leads the track to its main section. Love them all!
