Sir Llewy presents his new act: The Sir Llewy Project
With an impressive, nearly twenty year long career in the international music industry in his back pocket, Sir Llewy is still active as an artist. Recently he started a new act that he now proudly presents to the world: The Sir Llewy Project.
Sir Llewy is known to many by his name Llewy is Sel, former rapper/singer of the hip-hop ensemble Relax. For more than a decade Llewy toured all over the world with the band; a period in which he developed a massive basis for his later career, winning countless awards and prizes.
In early 2012 he built the groundwork for a completely new act that shows that Llewy has chosen to follow a different path in music. The new initiative, with a strong focus on modern dance, saw the light of day under the moniker of The Sir Llewy Project. Within the framework of the project Sir Llewy will work with many different artists.
The first landmark of The Sir Llewy Project is the brand new single “Weekend Awaits Me”, a track that Llewy recorded with Maikal X a.k.a. Michael Parkinson. “Weekend Awaits Me” is a state of the art house track with an irresistible drive that gives way to the vocal work of both singers, filling the dance floor in no-time.
Besides the original single, “Weekend Awaits Me” comes in a package with six different remixes. For these killer versions Sir Llewy approached heavyweight producers Bassanova & Moradzo, DJ Rockid, Those Random Boys & Agurré, Emil Axing and Steamphunk.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The legendary record label Magik Muzik presents the brand new progressive house artist Sir Llewy Project with the feel good record that will put you in that get ready for the weekend state of mind called Weekend Awaits Me. The original mix is an uplifting progressive house version with driving basslines, tough drum beats and great melodies creating the finest soundbed for the great vocals to stand out and memorize them easily. Instantly satisfaction is guaranteed when you drop it in the more mainstream floors. The remix package on Magik Muzik releases is the best you can get and here we get some first class reworks. Aggure & Those Random Boys provide the Big Room Swedish epic house version with all the elements associated with that popular style. They transform the poppy original into an energetic pumper ready for summer club floor domination. They also use just the main vocal phrase to excite the clubbers. Dj Rockid version is a rough electro house banger with heavy dubstep infused distortions. You can call it nu-rave as well. Bassanova & Moradzo Remix follows the dirty dutch sound with heavy Afrojack & Laidback Luke influences in it. Lastly Steamphunk Remix is a bouncy rocking electro house version with heavy dubstep influences. Epic, playful and dynamic to rock the big room soundsystems. Ibiza is calling when you hear it for sure. Like IT!
