Almost 6 years ago nobody could have guessed that Stefan K would achieve all the things he did in this short period of time. After being infected with the housemusic virus there was only one possible goal: be a DJ with great skills to please the crowd and share the love of housemusic!
By building great sets and taking crowds on a musical journey he was soon spotted by several Dutch clubs and events. With clubs such as legendary Spock (where Tiësto and Funkerman started their carreer) and events like Free Festival his name became more known and even crossed the Belgian border.
Belgian superclub Versuz gave him the opportunity to perform in Belgiums most wanted international club and after the massive responses during the night, Versuz offered him a very special residency position on Saturday night. Now being the only Dutch resident for over almost 5 years he has put a big stamp on the clubs’ scene and sound which resulted in other big performances all over the country. Next to that he’s a regular guest/resident at La Rocca, Nunu Club, Fete Wallonie, Bulgaria, Tomorrowland and the City Parade already been passed and several big ones on the way Stefan K is ready to set a new standard in one of the most enjoyable house scenes in the world, Belgium!
Besides DJ’ing he’s also getting more and more familiar production wise and with several digital releases worldwide and several productions and remixes on the way for some great other DJ’s, he will be a well seen artist at the international download portals like Beatport and others. This also resulted in a gig at Ministry Of Sound in London in Oct. 2011.
After remixes for names such as Freestylers Stefan now releases his first EP on Wildlife, with huge remixes by belgian producers Dave Brody and Ralpheus.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Wildlife is on fire at the moment releasing amazing stuff that destined to rock the clubs and make the ladies wild and ready for everything and anything and the boys out of their heads completely discovering their hidden funky side. Stefan K is offering his latest EP called For The Love Of House. The single is supported by two additional version to widen its appeal. First of all is the fantastic original version that is a massive progressive house banger that has great percussion and rhythm. Full of drive with classic house style organ melodies is definitely one of those peak time choices for sure. Dave Brody goes all the way for a nice Latin style excursion that is deeper moodier affair with great percussion and energising riff that goes back and forth keeping things steady. Final alternative version is by Ralpheus. His version is deep, techy, throbbing and mysterious full of bounce and groove to hook you with its subliminal melodies and never let you go. At the end of the day the best things are still underground and out at the Wildlife. Love iT
