Having already achieved a number 3 on the Billboard Charts and on radio in the US this new package of remixes for Paul Oakenfold’s latest single “Surrender” provides four diverse and fresh perspectives of this massive record - covering Electro, Progressive, Breaks and Trance.
On hand first is Traydkraft (alter ego of Remy Le Duc) with a radio friendly, breaks hit that has already appeared on BBC Radio 1 in the UK. Underground music made accessible in a context styling to that of legendary dance act Underworld.
Super hot South African export Protoculture’s slick trance interpretation will no doubt satisfy those fans worldwide fans who have heard it through the early support given from Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Judge Jules and of course at Paul’s own recent live and radio appearances. As featured on Paul Oakenfold’s latest compilation “Spring”
Perfecto regular Remy Le Duc joins forces with Zen Freeman for an epic main room mix, which hits all the right notes for the peak time sound currently causing mayhem worldwide. The bass guitar laden intro moves into a techy, tough, re-written riff that compliments the vocal perfectly. This is massive.
Completing the package is a house mix that has seen 5 months of continuous hammering from Paul Oakenfold. Bringing a in live instruments and other diverse soundscapes, this remix from one of Paul’s current favourite groups - Flesh & Bone has been the pool party hit, the roof terrace rocker, the beach festival banger………..
The Sun is finally here. Let’s take this party outside?

Dimitri Kechagias review: The legend of trance Paul Oakenfold who manage to write his own history in the heavy book of EDM culture returns with his fantastic track Surrender featuring the exceptional vocal performance of J.Hart that can easily crossover to the mainstream charts but will be heavily supported in the clubs as well because of the extended remix package. First of all is superb cinematic Traydkraft Remix. This is breaks at its best with excellent drive and energy and wonderful orchestral parts along with the fantastic vocals by J.Hart. Perfect to start a nice dj set or to use in the soundtrack of tv series or film as well. Protoculture is unstoppable hit maker and once again he retouches this excellent track and transform it into a blissful progressive trancer with amazing drum programming, energetic basslines and ambient summery melodies that will have your mind travelling all over the world. Particularly his breakdown with the superb vocals and the huge synths will raise many hands in the air and many couples will feel the urge to find a comfortable corner to feel the power of love. The climax of the track is on the high quality standards that Protoculture knows so well to produce and keep us excited and amazed with his creative flair. Remy Le Duc & Zen Freeman reshapes the original into a chunky progressive house smasher with rocky edge. Their breakdown is full on epic Swedish house style with synths to raise your hands in the air and Surrender to the heart of your lover. Playful, dynamic and really versatile will see house and trance djs playing this version with great ease. Last but not least Flesh & Bones provide the electro house/prog house remix with rock guitar riffs and definitely a more USA style touch to it. Piano riffs and twisted beats on the AVICII style will go like a treat for sure. Four amazing versions that will become your favourites instantly for a track that deserves to win the hearts and minds of the world. Love IT!
