Two years in the making, we finally reach a big milestone with Nueva's 50th release! What better way to celebrate this then with our biggest release to date with a debut from yet another great Polish duo: Deas & Lubica. Including another monumental debut by industry legend DJ Chus, the always classy Art Patrice and Nueva deep artist Adam Antine.
With releases on Baroque, Flashover, Fruit Machine, System Recordings and more, snapping these guys up was a no-brainer. Releasing on our Nueva Deep imprint Deas & Lubica have crafted 3 unique tracks that speak to the soul it seems. The EP title track 'Asanti' kicks off with a dreamy start and moves on to the fantastic groove mixed in with a subtle chirping bird and light vocals.
We commissioned a bright young talent we discovered hiding in Russia to remix 'Asanti' and Adam Antine does an amazing job creating a deep moving masterpiece of a track that just gets better every time you listen to it.
Next up is 'The Hunter' and once again Deas & Lubica utilize some great vocals this time of the tribal sense and intertwine another great groove and subtle melodic plucks. On remix duties is the legendary DJ Chus of Chus & Ceballos and cofounder of Stereo Productions Label. Numerous house and tech-house releases on a plethora of labels big and small we are honoured to have such an industry mainstay grace Nueva Deep. DJ Chus takes 'The Hunter' and works his magic as he churns out a fantastic mix and adds that unmistakeable 'Iberican' sound he's become famous for.
Rounding out this amazing deep house EP is the aptly named 'Celestial Mechanics' with an underground deep and menacing feel to it and the perfectly nuanced spoken word throughout..Deas & Lubica have made aural candy for the ears here!
