REVIEW: George Acosta - To The Sky out on Black Hole recordings

1. Original
2. Gerry Cueto Remix
George Acosta proudly present his brand spanking new single “To The Sky” on the Black Hole imprint.

Miami based DJ/Producer George Acosta has been active in the industry for more than 20 years. As the founder of his own Waxhead Records label, he remixed countless artists from the B52s to Ultra Nate to Jon Secada and released seminal mix compilations like “Miami Beach Bash” and “Trance Nation America”. In 2007 he became America’s Best DJ, received a Grammy nomination for a remix he did for Fabulous and became member of the ‘Remix and Producer’s Grammy Committee’. Early 2010, George Acosta signed with Black Hole Recordings and recorded the mix compilation “From Miami To Amsterdam” and made the artist album "Visions Behind Expressions", which harvested the singles “Beautiful”, “Love Rain Down On Me”, “True Love” and “Tearing Me Apart”; all featuring the stunning vocals of Fisher.

With the release of his new single “To The Sky”, George delivers a spacious tech trancer that maybe reveals a bit of new style for his future productions. His arrangement and the smooth break already show a glimpse of a long hot summer. Gerry Cueto reworked the original into a sharper edged, more techy version.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The USA trance legend George Acosta returns on Black Hole recordings with the awesome club bouncer that is destined to send you as the title implies To The Sky. George who is very experienced and hard working dj knows better than anyone else what the dancefloor needs at a certain period of time. He offer us a satisfying slice of deep progressive trance with bubbly beats and blissful melodies that work together perfectly to lead us on the massive breakdown that the big melodic theme is unleashed along with the cool choir like vocal that encourage us to let the trance vibes take over control and send us To The Sky and beyond. If you want a big room make over his good friend Gerry Cueto  delivers the club bombastic fantastic epic prog house version with slamming electro house dirty glitzy basslines and tougher rocking beats to get any big room or stadium pumping. Gerry includes two very effective breakdowns with the melodic theme of the original holding centre stage. When the beat comes back the cool vocal comes along to take us by the hand To The Sky. Love IT!
