REVIEW: Jorg Zimmer - Acamar/Sicily out on Songbird/Black Hole

1. Acamar
2. Sicily

Jorg Zimmer presents his new EP on the Songbird imprint, featuring the titles “Acamar” and “Sicily”.

Jorg has been active in the industry for quite some time now and still limits his biography to his personal motto “I play music and make music!” It’s a modest statement from the man who is known to his friends and family as Padraig Lavery, residing in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Jorg Zimmer made name as both a DJ and producer, delivering the goods within the realm of progressive, trance and house. Now with “Acamar” and “Sicily” he hands every DJ on this planet two awesome floor fillers that you can’t afford to miss.

Call it progressive house on the tech tip; one thing is for sure and that is that Jorg Zimmer once again shows that a springtime release like this EP will most definitely turn into a summer slammer!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Songbird one of the most lovable sublabels of Black Hole recordings for the fans of deep progressive electronic dance music returns with another slice of great warm up atmospheric material. Jorg Zimmer is a great talent that manage to attract a lot of attention around his name and became synonymous of high quality releases. Now he serves the latest EP on Songbird and his music can become easily part of the well known ISOS compilation. Deep, melodic progressive house with trance touch that can work to set the atmosphere in a nice set and warm up nicely the proceedings. Acamar has tribal house groove with great percussion and haunting atmospheres on top. Vocal samples adding a certain mystery to the track and its breakdown is simple  as well. Sicily is deep with electronic melody running all through the track adding a certain hypnotic feel to it. The breakdown is functional without extra effects or other elements. Two strong tools to welcome your audience on the dancefloor and keep them there till the end. Like It!
