Last night on a very cool ceremony the friends, supporters and all those who are involved in EDM culture had the chance as part of the Miami Winter Music Conference to witness the winners of the prestigious International Dance Music Awards. The IDMA's is regarded as the leading award show in the international dance music industry. Awards were presented for 55 categories. More than 2 million votes from over 180 different countries came in this year. With more than 60.000 visitors from 70 different countries, the Winter Music Conference is the highlight to many DJ’s, artists, promoters and clubbers.
Tomorrowland won the Award for the BEST MUSIC EVENT OF THE WORLD competing against very successful festivals such as Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Zoo, Sensation White, Shambhala Music Festival, and Ultra Music Festival. It's important to highlight that Tomorrowland and Sensation White were the only two European based nominations with event promoters ID&T Belgium & ID&T Holland respectively. This proves that European concepts for EDM events found acceptance and recognition worlwide.
Tomorrowland seems to me to be the "natural" winner early on if we consider the number of followers in its social media pages and the more than 5 million viewers of its 15 minutes after movie epic. ID&T Belgium offer to the visitors a totally unique, fresh and outstanding experience within a very special atmosphere with imaginative decoration, mindblowing visuals and high quality audio equipment so the sound from each tent to be loud, crispy and clear. Of course another very strong point are the strict security measures that offer to the visitor a very secure and safe environment to pass a whole day with great music from the most important and successful djs and acts along with high quality food and entertainment as well.
