Fresh after his recent successful collabs with DJ Sage on Terminal-4 and Black Hole Recordings, DJ Mikas continues to rock the scene with a strong solo single. Timezone is a no-nonsense, big-room trance track which willl yet again pleasantly surprise dance music fans around the World. Timezone starts off with a bassline more gritty than the best dubstep tracks around and quickly progresses with a huge build ending in a pure anthem. This is Mikas' biggest and most heavy track to date.
For the music video, Mikas was able to use footage from famous Japanese videographer Masaya Kitaguchi, also known as Darwinfish105. The video features impressive timelapse shots from various places in Tokyo.
Timezone will be availble March 5th on Beatport, iTunes, Track It Down, Audiojelly, Juno and every other major retailer.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Dj Mikas belongs to the generation of upcoming producers that redefines with his compositions the boundaries between progressive house and trance. In My opinion his tracks belong to both categories and I can imagine big room progressive house djs dropping his latest track and progressive/tech trance djs as well like Richard Durand or Alex O Rion adopting Timezone for their sets as well. Apart from the excellent music video that is simply outstanding to watch Timezone is a superb track that has the bounce, drive and constant intensity that we all search to get in a nice energetic progressive track. He uses electro dirty grungy influences as well that adds a certain funky sharp tasty edge to it as well. The breakdown is quite short just to showcase the huge synthy riff and then the beat returns with the same groovy tendencies to takes over everything and get under its control the clubs. Timezone is fresh, sparkling, crystal clear neo-progressive track which has the potential to touch wide variety of audiences. On the package Dj Mikas & DJ Sage collaborate for an edit of the original track that is a tight, solid alternative that manage to combine uplifting trance melodies with electro house and epic prog house touches as well. The breakdown is very dramatic with huge siren like synthy riff that will excite the clubbers and prepare them for the big climax. The result is a very effective club weapon that particularly the big room djs will adopt it straight away. Like IT!
