By the sounds of it, Daniel had a pretty good horoscope for the day he produced his new tune ‘Sagittarius’. First rocking the Ibiza crowds as part of Armin van Buuren’s latest ‘Universal Religion’ compilation, but now finally unleashed on the Armind label, is this melodic, dreamy trancer. An uplifting track with a deeper feel to it.
Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the finest compilations of 2011 Universal Religion vol.5 mixed and compiled by Armin van Buuren continues to reveal great tracks as singles that will dominate the dancefloors for quite long. Daniel Kandi is included in this compilation not only with his massive remix of Home with the vocals of Susana but also with his awesome track Sagitarius. This track for me is the epitomy of the current state of trance in the clubs. Powerful, dynamic, energetic with gifted combination of progressive trance/uplifting/and big room into a bombastic trance anthem. Sometimes we think that a trance producer could do a little better but in our case Daniel Kandi, I believe offered the best that he could do by servicing us a real monster size track with an epic melody in the breakdown that the clubbers will remember for long after hearing it and dancing along with it. Firm and tight techy beats, epic hands in the air melodies and that driving rhythm that doesnt allow to escape from its influence. Daniel even uses for his breakdown ravey style riffs that remind me old school trance tracks but through the modern and updated point of view of the master of uplifting trance that is Daniel. For me he is one of the best producers and great dj as well with huge back catalogue of originals and remixes that come back again and again and considered as classics and one of them is Sagittarius.
