REVIEW: Matt Davey - Castaway out on Neuroscience

1-Daniel Hairston Remix
2-Moorea Blur Remix
3-Original Mix

After a couple of strong releases under his more progressive Mike Delta alias, Matt Davey makes a welcomed return to Neuroscience Recordings.

Matt Davey is certainly a name many of you will recognise. The up-and-coming producer seems catching the attention of DJs such as Paul van Dyk, Sean Tyas and Aly & Fila. He looks set to have a big year in 2012.

'Castaway' appears to fuse together Matt's big-room trance sounds, along with his progressive influences. With the track's tasty electro-tinged bassline, and catchy melodic elements, Matt is on to a winner!

The first remix comes from another producer who seems to be climbing the ranks lately. The talented Daniel Hairston has delivered the goods, with his own brand of progressive trance.

Finishing of the pack with their superb interpretation is Moorea Blur. With their remix edging towards more of an uplifting sound, the guys have done a great job and been very original! Top work!

Enjoy the release!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Neuroscience continues its quest to discover for us great artists with fantastic tracks and after to package them nicely with  strong set of high quality remixes. The original mix of Castway is a playful progressive trancer with electro trance influences and great clubby feel. It has the chunky twisted groove to take you on board for a hypnotic journey and  make you dance your night away particularly in the breakdown that the big melodic theme synthy strings appear to raise those hands in the air.Moorea Blur deliver my favorite version in the package that sounds banging, big room and very uplifting. They even introduce a brand new vocal sample that add a tottaly new dimension to the track. Just drop this and stay back to watch their insane reactions. Particularly  after the melodic relaxing and  mysterious breakdown there is  massive climax with fat stompin driving basslines and the top melody on top that will  bring real damage upon the progressive trance floors. Lastly the hot property Daniel Hairstone well know for his dirty electro trance style provides a massive version where he introduces a really large distorted electro  synthy riff that runs through the whole track and drives it forward as well. The breakdown is really exceptional as Daniel directs the various layers of sounds in the best possible way to build the tension and release it quite cathartic in the main part! Like It!
