REVIEW: Marien Baker ft. Anna Gold - I Am Everywhere out on Wild Life/Black Hole

1. Original
2. Jerry Ropero and Ross Paterson Remix
3. Jose De Mare Remix
4. Dub Mix

The female Spanish DJ/producer Marién Baker was 14 years old when she made her first acquaintance with electronic dance music and picked up the turntables at age 15. For years she collaborated with several dance radio shows, playing live sets which eventually lead to her breakthrough. She's done smashing tech-house live sets in clubs like Space Ibiza, Pacha Marrakech, Eibisi Barcelona and Passion Malaga; venues where she also has residencies.

The year 2011 has been busier than ever and currently she's working on upcoming titles “You Don’t Stop” and “Stomp”, but her debut single on the Wildlife imprint is out now: "I Am Everywhere", featuring the vocals of the lovely Anna Gold. "I Am Everywhere" is one of those lovely funky cuts that will raise the temperature on the dance floor from the moment you put it on. Anna Gold's double tracked vocals add that little bit of extra to the entire song and her lead in to the synth laden break is the kick off for a great party time.

Jerry Ropero and Ross Paterson redesigned the original into a club aimed trance banger and gave way to Jose De Mare, who came up with a true house version of the original. Don't forget the absolutely unique and extra low BPM dub mix, 'cause that one will even fit in a risqué progressive set.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Marien Baker enters the Black Hole headquarters and offer her first release on the always strong for quality house releases Wild Life imprint. The original of I Am Everywhere is so funky wobbly bubbly chunky and chewy with the right amount of feel good summer vibes being all over the place.  Spain is a great source of musicians and Marien offers a quality release for us. Jerry Ropero and Ross Paterson unites two top producers in one winning package. Jerry well known for his long and epic progressive house mixes starts all minimal and then introduce quite early the really large breakdown with the superb diva like vocals and the fantastic synthy riffs on top for that Epic house atmosphere. When the beat comes back the track returns with accordeon like riff upon the funky basslines offering a balkan touch as well. If you search for a fat big room remix this sounds the more appropriate. Jose de Mara goes for a more minimal deep tech house thing with that balearic house feel. I can imagine this being played early morning in a beach bar while you hug your loved one. Great release for non stop eargasms. Like IT!
