15 years after his first international hit, The Scumfrog unites with his underground roots and debuts the Pilot 6 label with the daring ‘Don’t Give Up’ ft. Vassy!
1997 was the year when dance land swayed to the beat of ‘The Watersong’, a future classic from the Scumfrog studios. Many more #1’s followed, pleasing the masses of house and techno fans with a sound that moved and still moves both subgenres. The Scumfrog has ever kept an open mind, that, combined with his production skills, made up for grand opportunities. From producing the Grammy nominated Cyndi Lauper album to remixing the likes of Kylie, Britney Spears, Missy Elliott, David Bowie and Annie Lennox. On the edge of 2011-2012, the mastermind makes his debut on Armada’s Pilot 6. And he’s not doing it alone.
Combined with the vocals of Australian singer/songwriter Vassy, ‘Don’t Give Up’ makes up for warm, prog-housy delight with a techno swirl. A tune that stands out, recognizable from first beat on. It’s got a melodic flow that just draws you in.

If the original is a bit too experimental, try the Steven Lee remix. Warm, proggy sounds and a contagious drive make his remix fit for any nocturnal adventure you’re planning.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Pilot 6 is established through the years one of the first choices for all the progressive house lovers worlwide as the releases on this Armada's music imprint are unique and strictly high quality. The Scumfrog is servicing us a fantastic progressive bouncer with tribal beats and superb vocals by Vassy performing a cover version of Peter's Gabriel's with Kate Bush pop classic with the same title. Just watch the reaction of your audience when the superb Vassy's voice will be revealed in the huge atmospheric breakdown singing the easily recognisable lyrics about courage and compasion. I believe that if Peter Gabriel was dreaming a dance version, this is what he had in mind. Dark, electronic, proggy, amd gothic even in some places, this version is simply mindblowing talking to our subconsious straight way. Steven Lee is on remix duties providing a very nice translation with more upbeat feel good melodies and optimistic atmosphere that in a way highlight the message of the lyrics. Vassy's vocals are choped and twisted here and there in order to give that playful atmosphere. Like IT!
