Released alongside the album, the "Anjunabeats Volume 9 Sampler" offers four upfront, full length anthems from Above & Beyond's latest trailblazing compilation. 

Following his collaboration with Mike Koglin ("Helion"), Genix’s "Higher State" represents the Midlands-based producer's first solo outing on Anjunabeats - a blend of gnarly grooves and bright, energetic synth explosions.

Next up, is Maor Levi & Bluestone's impressive "On Our Own". Already a Webvote Winner on Trance Around The World, "On Our Own” is a serious journey of a track. Taking in dubstep-influenced bass gargles, unique grooves and Maor's trademark melodies on the breakdown, "On Our Own" is a fresh take on the modern trance template.

Russian producer Ilnaz Tarkhanov, aka Cramp, continues making waves with the latest addition to his growing discography - "Catch The Eye". A rolling, groove-heavy bomb, "Catch The Eye" catches its breath in a blissful melodic breakdown before charging off with a synth-powered drop. 

 

Finally, Hungarian producer Sunny Lax returns to Anjunabeats with his gorgeous track "Contrast". Offsetting a bubbling, infectious groove against spine-tingling melodies on its breakdown, "Contrast" eventually unites the two for a surging finish.

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the most highly anticipated compilation series reaches its number 9 and still retains its freshness and highly eclectic selection of music. Of course we speak about Above and Beyond's very own compilation series Anjunabeats that showcases the tracks that will be released in the coming months and will bring massive euphoria on the trancefloors. 4 of those difficult to evaluate jewels are released in their full length glory for other turntable freaks to enjoy too. First of all the exquisite chef Genix cooks a brilliant nutrious dish named Higher State that consists of euphoric uplifting synths, bubbly electro trance grooves and twisted dirty basslines that sound perfect to destroy any dancefloor at the moment.   Maor Levi & Bluestone collaborate to cook a lovely energizing dish that includes all the right and exact seasonings to add that special Anjunabeats flavor.  On Our Own is a banging spanking prog trancer with strong house influences and with plenty of feel good moments to lost it completely. It's very hot indeed. Cramp provides one of the finest proglifting trancers that I checked lately. It has the energy, the feel good melodies and vibes and beautiful ethnic vocal samples to add that classy exotic taste. Luscious and inspiring is high quality melodic beauty to bring shivers all over your body. Last but not least Sunny Lux provides the main dish  of the dinner entitled Contrast with playful groovy basslines, ah ah ah type of vocal layers that lead in the big breakdown that a classic Sunny Lux awesome rich synthy part is waiting to make you scream with joy and  get you jumpin. The main part continues proggy but uplifting and travelling on that classic Anjunabeats high quality road. Absolute awesome sampler that showcases some of top tunes included on Anjunabeats vol9.
