Hot on the heels of his remake of the KLF classic “3AM Eternal” NYC-based DJ / producer / remixer Serge Devant returns with his brand new single “On Your Own.” It’s released on November 15 as a single track and on December 15 with remixes from David Tort, Thomas Sagstad & Mike Hawkins and Stephan Luke.
“On Your Own” is the kind of track that delivers the best of both worlds – it’s the perfect song that works at home and also kills on the dancefloor. It’s a true anthem lead by UK singer Coyle Girelli’s emotional vocals and Serge Devant’s knack for hitting those peak notes at just the right moment.
On the remix front, David Tort builds the track up to all out 303 warfare, Stephan Luke and Thomas Sagstad go dark and tribal with an epic big room breakdown and Stephan Luke rips it up and puts it back together all funky and electro.
“On Your Own,” along with “3AM Eternal” (which debuted at #11 on the UK Buzz Charts and #20 on Music Week’s Cool Cuts Chart), offers the first glimpses into Serge Devant’s forthcoming Ultra Records artist album, “Recollect,” due out in January 2011.
Serge Devant feat. Coyle Girelli by sergedevant
Dimitri Kechagias review: Serge Devant is the hottest dance export from Russia and his single Addicted with Hadley was a huge hit all over the world. Now its time for another club stomper entitled On Your Own. The vocals provided by UK singer Coyle Girelli who adds his indie rock sensibility in order to create a huge stadium size anthem. The remix package is the finest and the best you can get so be prepared for some big names recreating the original into a super cool club hymn. Thomas Sagstad & Mike Hawkins collaborate to provide a superb full on driving epic prog house meets trance style version that highlights the vocal along with rock guitar samples for that get together feeling. Stephan Luke deliver a stunning pumpy epic house version with warm percussion and dirty dutch influences as well with squeeky squeezed basslines. Superb breakdown with piano riffs, violin samples and intense build up that will totally blow the speakers for sure. David Tort from his side proves his worth and reputation as he provides a big room mayhem style version with indie dance/nu rave style influences and superb use of that vocal that I'm sure we all will be singing in the coming months. Its a club hymn and deserves big support. Love IT!
