REVIEW: Planet Perfecto Knights-ResuRection out on Perfecto/Armada Music

1.ResuRection (Paul Oakenfold Full On Fluoro Mix)
2.ResuRection (EC Twins & Remy Le Duc Mix)
3.ResuRection (Beatman & Ludmilla Remix)
4.ResuRection (Loverush UK! Remix)

PPK’s “ResuRection” was arguably one of the biggest dance records ever released. It was certainly one of the biggest from the Perfecto Records back catalogue. Based on the melody of a 1979 Russian film Siberiade this instantly recognisable melody has sent millions of clubbers into a frenzy time and time again for well over a decade. From the very first solitary note in this timeless riff  you know.

Planet Perfecto Knights bring this legendary title back to life with a 2011 cover version and a package of mixes to suit all tastes.

Paul Oakenfold’s Full on Fluoro mix, which he has been smashing dancefloors with for the last few weeks while on tour across South America gives his trance fans a powerful peak time take that, while being respectful of the original riff, adds more power, drive and melodic euphoria.

For the electro house fans super hot US based Manchester boys EC Twins team up with Remy le Duc to provide a headline mix that has literally been smashing festivals and arena shows all across the US for the last 6 months  at both their own and Paul Oakenfold’s live performances.

Our favourite breaks producers in the world  who we are incredibly proud to call Perfecto artists  Beatman & Ludmilla deliver an insane breaks/dubstep mix that shows why both they and their Ayra label constantly dominate the Beatport breaks top 10.

Beatman & Ludmilla’s huge productions have been a favourite of our office and clearly you too for some time now. After 5 weeks at number 1 on Beatport with their remix of single “Tokyo” earlier this year we instantly knew “ResuRection” was a release we wanted their sound on.

Completing the package Loverush UK!’s high quality remix is true to the vibe of the original release giving a blissfully laid back progressive vibe for those lushed up afterhours “been awake for days” moments.

Enjoy!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Some classics deserve to come back with a BANG and dominate the modern clubs worldwide. PPK's Resurrection was one of them of course. The very special and characteristic melody instantly transfers you into a sci fi movie exploring space and fighting with strange extra terrestial creatures. Now the mighty and highly successful Perfecto records part of Armada Music delivers a stunning new cover version with a bright package supported by some super duper remixes. First of all Paul Oakenfold's version is pure uplifting pleasure with its intensive drive, the floating melodies and the best utilization of that gold duck kind of melody. Next awesome remix is by EC Twins & Remy Le Duc. They provide a full on stompin, pumpin and banging dirty dutch meets electro meets epic prog house mix ready made for big arenas with loud soundsystems. Beatman & Ludmilla recreate in such cinematic and travelling way the original melody. This is real electryfing power anthem that is ready to blow in your face and you will listen to it a lot. Last but not least the most talkabout and upcoming project the always on top shape Loverush UK deliver a flowing and floating progressive trance meets house style that is balearic and full on as well. Their remix respects the original and tries to follow it with great success but always through their own personal stand out from the rest style.Love IT!
