REVIEW: Akira Kayosa - Cutline incl. Danny Loko mix out on Fraction records

1-Danny Loko Remix
2-Original Mix

Akira Kayosa smashes his way onto Fraction Records main imprint with the absolutely massive 'Cutline', a floor controlling super bomb for the later hours and bigger rooms!

The Original Mix is an action packed affair from the offset, carefully fusing energetic percussive rhythms alongside moody synth driven atmospherics to super effect, raising the pressure perfectly into the delightful breakdown. Delicate, yet gently distorted plucked synths capture the tension brilliantly before rising up, bursting into full crowd pleasing mode for the main section to really drive this mix home!

Danny Loko is on hand for remix duties, stripping the track back to the progressive essentials and stamping his trademark deep grooves and low slung rhythms into the mix to tremendous effect - fans of Danny's previous work will not be dissapointed!

Akira Kayosa - Cutline (Danny Loko Remix) by Fractionrecords

Dimitri Kechagias review: Akira seems to be very productive these days and he has releases on numerous record labels. His latest one surfaces on Fraction records. Cutline is a big pumpy big room tech trancer that is destined to become one of the main peak time choice for many djs worldwide. The production is solid with tight and thick quite dark beat, airy voice samples on top, that lead us on the first small break down that the piano melody is introduced. Then all the great layers of quality sounds take us all the way to the breakdown. Here the piano melody is fully revealed and exposed along with moody melodies until the huge synth line to come out big and bold and right in your face. Very shortly after the beat is back for the main peak time moment of the track. You can imagine hands in the air and wide smiles from one corner to the other in your club when this section is on. Danny Loko mix is very surprising for sure as it goes for a more tribal prog house minimal ride that lead us on the breakdown with a very moody spooky performance of the main melody. If you play dark prog house sounds you will adore this really unique and different take on the original. Worth having in your digital record box. Check IT!
