Redemption [Der Mystik's Cinematic Remix]

We are pleased to welcome Les Hemstock (Of Hemstock and Jennings trancemeisters fame) to Lost Language. Here he teams up with Minoo to present the Arabic / Trance hybrid soundclash “Redemption”. Los Angeles based, Les Hemstock comes with an impressive dance music pedigree via his top 20 hits and collaborations with Paul Van Dyk. Minoo originally hails from Cairo and is now US based. He is a big fan of pianist / composer, Yanni.

The personnel and influences on this record all come together to for the cinematic track “Redemption”. A track that is not only widescreen in scope & ambition but also driving and dancefloor friendly. Robert Vadney is first up on the remixes sounding like the lead track from a 1998 Perfecto Fluro compilation. Lead protagonist Minoo is next up with his Arabic tinged driving floor filler. One for the hands in the air.

Les pairs with Ric Scott next for their percussive “Nile” remix. Next up it’s the “Score” version sounding like it is direct from the opening scene of the latest Hollywood block buster. Big screen all the way. The Shiva mix also heads right for the cinematic angle. To round things off we turn up the tempo and beat quotient once more for peak time outings from Hungary’s Richard Sander and Columbia’s Der Mystik (also known as Paulo Munoz).

Dimitri Kechagias review: I must confess straight away that I'm big fan of ethnic influences within trance tracks cause I believe that trance music is really enriched with quality and becomes part of the historic continuum of music  in that way. The merging of bouncy uplifting beats by Les with Minoo in one big euphoric track is simply not to be missed. So beautiful and cinematic that in your mind coming many mental images of the beauties of Egypt and not only. Robert Vadney Remix: the fantastic Greek American delivers a mesmerizing remix with power and mysticism. Minoo Dance Mix: Stompy, energizing and banging but with the colors and smells of Middle East, Hemstock & Ric Scott Nile Remix: Hands in the air anthem with psy trance influences. Original Score Version/Shiva Mix: Ambient film soundtrack version to close your eyes and allow yourself to get on the hypnotic trance state. Richard Sander Remix: Excellent uplifting translation of the Middle East spirit. Der Mystik's Cinematic Remix: Including big chunks of the original remix with the addition of uplifting epic synths and thick and driving beats and energizing basslines. Its unique, different and highly recommended.
