REVIEW: Fox MacLeod - Zinc out on Magik Muzik/Black Hole recordings

1. Original
2. Re-Zone Remix

Fox MacLeod presents his new single on the Magik Muzik imprint, entitled “Zinc”.

“Zinc” offers a new approach to the sound known as tech trance. The intro begins with a very basic drum program, but then quickly evolves into a tight and hammering banger. Once the percussion kicks in the track really gets on a roll and finally unleashes a screeching sweep before the break sets in. From that moment on the theme takes over and shows us all what a true party slammer sounds like. “Zinc” could be the perfect track for every professional to mix a driving transition from what might kick off with trance to a true tech trance live performance.

Re-Zone took care of the remix and delivers a more progressive version with strong minimal influences throughout. The striking bit of Re-Zone’s version is the smooth use of synths, which give the entire version an absolute killer atmosphere for a well prepared progressive live set. Fox McLeod’s “Zinc” is ready to take over the dancefloor!

Dimitri Kechagias review: If you adore progressive house sounds be sure to check out this production from a brand new producer on Magik Muzik. The original is definitely one of those top tunes that slowly builds and really has that addictive bassline along with streached choped vocal hooks repeated on top in order to create a funky party atmosphere. The breakdown uncovers a very large synthy riff for hands in the air and clapping hands action. After that really Large part it continues on the same way like on the part before the break down keeping things clean and tidy. Re-Zone well known for big progressive house anthems provide a steady thick and bursting with energy version that is very melodic and spacey. Its not the peak time thing but definitely one of those tracks that keep the pace and the rhythm and warm up the body machines for the hard work that they have to accomplish on the dancefloor. Its definitely worth checking out!
