The first single from their forthcoming artist album "Stick By This", Dusky's "Lost In You" (feat. Janai) has already picked up support from names as varied as Vincenzo, Jody Wisternoff, Moodymanc (2020 Vision) and Toddla T - the latter playing the track on BBC Radio 1.
Complimenting the original package, this remixes EP features two contrasting reworks from two of the hottest names in UK house right now - man of the moment T. Williams and rising Leeds talent Youandewan.
Responsible for one of the underground hits of last year with the soulful shimmers of "Heartbeat", London based T. Williams turns out a high-energy, carnival house groove - dropping into the unmistakable piano-kissed vocals of the original for a killer breakdown.
Taking a more classic, conventional house route, Ewan Smith aka Youandewan follows his Defected anthem "1988" with a deep, dubbed out and hypnotic house rework that locks you in for an eight-minute epic.
Also available on the package is the Extended Vocal version - an extended DJ-friendly edit of the original track.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Anjunadeep loves quality progressive house music and the release of Dusky was definitely a big success so this remix package is perfectly justified. If you adore the modern house sounds then you will be tottaly attracted to the new mixes. T.Williams deliver a really nice tech house version with choped vocal hooks and great piano melody that adds that jazzy underground style that reminds me a walk in the moody rainy London during the early morning hours. Of course it has so much funk and latin overtones as well that you will be inclined straight away to dance with it. The breakdown will bring some shivers all over your body too as the silky retro sounding voice of Janai will drive you in her innersoul exploring sounds and grooves. Youandewan remix is the most real underground sounding in a minimal techno style with just some vocal lines thrown here and there to add that special quality of the original. The Extended version of the original is top idea to include as well as the original is so magical and one of the best house gems for 2011. Looking forward for Dusky's album soon on Anjunadeep.
