1) Peetu S - Scorpion (Original Mix)
2) Peetu S - Scorpion (Lee Haslam's Stinger Remix)
2) Peetu S - Scorpion (Lee Haslam's Stinger Remix)
Following on from his excellent remix of John Askew's "The Witch" earlier this year, Peetu S delivers his first original track for some time on our flagship label.
As you would expect from Peetu S, the track packs a big punch, but this time it leans a little further into trance territory with a hypnotic and infectious topline that permeates the rolling sample and acid driven bottom end.
On remix duty Slinky main man Lee Haslam holds nothing in reserve with his full on interpretation that once again demonstrates why Lee is one of the UK's most exciting producers.
Lee's remixes are always right up there in terms of quality, but we think he has really raised the bar with this one to complete another superb Discover package!!
Dimitri Kechagias review: Discover pushes the trance frontiers even higher with another party stormer on the well-known and always on top quality that you get to know through the years. Scorpion is the most appropriate title for that track cause the original mix sounds like a deadly manic scorpion under mental disorder that attempts to byte as many as possible. The Original mix is tough tribalesque trancer with fantastic wobbly tech trance beats that slowly lead us on the main breakdown. The naughty Scorpion will tempt us all to go to his breakdown that is calm and beautiful and suddenly unleashes his poison that is of course that ultra large rave like melody. Awesome track that will recall great rave tracks back from the days. Lee's remix is the ice on that release's cake with his electro trance beat that uses electro synthy melodies and with plenty of groovyness drive us to his mysterious breakdown that he squeezes and turn this ravey like melody to his own style and merits. You can expect a big anthemic style mix for the peak time parts of any set. So difficult to choose the version that I like but Im sure that all trance fanatics will find a version that will become their nights-out anthem.
