Melodic House & Techno Review: Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston - Carry Me Home (Kloset Remix) out on Anjunabeats

Kloset, the solo alias of Station To Station’s Fabio Congia, releases his melodic house remix of Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s ‘Carry Me Home’, marking the first official remix of this beloved single from the trio’s most recent studio album, ‘Bigger Than All Of Us’.

‘Carry Me Home’ sees Above & Beyond reconnect with longtime collaborator Zoë Johnston, who has been working closely with the trio since the 2004 classic ‘No One On Earth’.
“We've been working with her for 22 years now, so she's a part of the band.” explains Above & Beyond. "By that token, a song with her vocals is a very reassuring thing for our audience."
Over the course of Above & Beyond’s 130,000-ticket North American amphitheatre and club tour, their followup 13-date European and UK tour and their most recent India dates, ‘Carry Me Home’ cemented itself as the new fan favourite song, and as a standout from the album, with the euphoric chorus prompting impressive crowd singalongs from London to San Diego.

Above & Beyond’s 2026 worldwide tour dates take them back to Australia, their milestone Group Therapy 700 celebration at The Gorge Amphitheatre and sees them headline Anjunadeep Open Air shows in South Africa with Deep Sets. The trio have handed remix duties to Kloset to provide his signature melodic and emotional style on the vocal trance hit.
“When I first heard ‘Carry Me Home’, I immediately connected with it," explains Kloset. “I wanted my remix to preserve the heart of the original while bringing in my own perspective.” He adds, “I focused on the groove and emotional core, reinterpreting the track in a way that aligns with my sound.”
Station To Station have made a big impression in a short space of time after receiving widespread support from Above & Beyond, Cosmic Gate, and Solarstone to name a few. The Kloset alias provides a home for a wide range of Fabio’s own productions, from hard-hitting trance to deeper cuts like ‘Hunky’, which was released on Anjunadeep Explorations last year after debuting in Above & Beyond’s ABGT600 ‘Deep Warm Up Set’ in Xochimilco, Mexico City.

Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston ‘Carry Me Home’ (Kloset Remix) is out now on Anjunabeats.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s “Carry Me Home (Kloset Remix)” is a masterclass in emotional progressive trance with deep melodic house and techno elements, clocking in at a smooth 125 BPM. From the first few bars, the track establishes a hypnotic rhythm immersed in a delicate yet driving groove, allowing the energy to flow seamlessly throughout its structure. The groove is underpinned by a meticulously crafted low-end that maintains perfect balance across the dynamic range, giving the listener a sense of forward motion while keeping the mix crystal clear. This rhythmic precision contributes to its strong club and festival suitability, with every kick and percussion hit carefully positioned to ensure excellent cueing potential and loop-friendly sections for DJs. The melodic hooks and harmonic layers unfold with a subtle, progressive elegance. Kloset’s production choices highlight Zoë Johnston’s ethereal vocal performance, enhancing the emotional resonance of the track without overwhelming its instrumental core. The careful layering of pads, arpeggios, and harmonic swells creates a rich spatial design that immerses the listener while maintaining cohesion and storytelling. The transitions, build-ups, and drops are fluid yet dynamic, making the track highly adaptable to different set contexts by preserving BPM consistency and ensuring a smooth energy arc. Sound design decisions, from the warm analog-style synths to the shimmering high-end effects, demonstrate a commitment to production quality and originality of arrangement, keeping the track both creative and true to its artistic identity. From a wellness and mental health perspective, “Carry Me Home (Kloset Remix)” has several scientifically supported benefits. Research in music therapy and neurology demonstrates that repetitive, rhythmically engaging music can enhance mood regulation, reduce stress, and promote mental clarity (Thoma et al., 2013). The uplifting harmonic progressions and soft vocal textures can trigger a release of dopamine, which is essential for feelings of pleasure and reward (Salimpoor et al., 2011). Additionally, its 125 BPM tempo aligns well with moderate cardiovascular exercise and is ideal for wellness classes like yoga, cycling, and dance-based fitness, as studies show that music with consistent rhythmic drive can improve exercise adherence and perceived effort levels (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). The track’s hypnotic quality also supports mindfulness and flow states, which have been linked to improved cognitive function and reduced anxiety. Overall, the Kloset Remix of “Carry Me Home” achieves an exceptional level of synergy between technical mastery and emotional storytelling. Its cohesive arrangement, pristine sound design, and infectious energy ensure high replay value and strong crowd reaction potential, while its therapeutic and fitness-friendly properties make it not only a dancefloor weapon but also a track that positively impacts human well-being. #PureGold Loveit [/content]
