Welcome back Alex, it’s been a while, but we are always excited when a new AW production drops. Alex is one of those guys whose releases are infrequent but always brilliant, with ‘Amore’ being no exception. Inspired by Steve Wonder’s ‘My Cherie Amour’ (true!) & at 130bpm with a full-bodied ‘Reese’ bassline, this gloriously thrusting & euphoric, melodic trancer is simply divine.

[item value="10"]Alex Wright - Amore[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Alex Wright’s track "Amore," released on the prestigious Pure Trance label, is an exemplary showcase of proglifting trance, clocking in at an energetic 130 BPM. This track is a masterclass in production techniques, reflecting Wright’s deep arsenal of influences drawn from top-tier trance artists and labels. The production process of "Amore" begins with its foundation: the bouncy, tough basslines that are meticulously side-chained to create a dynamic interplay with the pounding drums. The raw kicks have been crafted with precision, utilizing layered samples combined with processed sub-bass to achieve a punchy yet clean low-end that drives the track forward. The percussive elements are sharply defined, with high-pass filtered hi-hats and crisp snares that add rhythmic complexity without overwhelming the mix. One of the most compelling aspects of "Amore" is its melodic structure. The emotional, sun-kissed melodies are constructed using a blend of analog synth emulations and digital VST instruments. Wright employs lush pads with gradual filter sweeps to evoke vivid imagery of spring, effectively using automation to modulate the resonance and cutoff frequencies for dynamic expression. The lead synth, a signature synthy pluck, is characterized by its bright, slightly detuned oscillators and a touch of reverb and delay, creating a spacious and ethereal sound. The breakdown of "Amore" is cinematic, crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Layered atmospheric effects, including reverb-washed sweeps, subtle white noise risers, and granular soundscapes, establish an expansive auditory landscape. This section serves as a canvas for the emotionally resonant lead melody, gradually revealed through a series of filter openings and volume automation that enhance its impact. As the track builds towards its climax, Wright skillfully employs tension-building techniques such as snare rolls with increasing velocity and tempo-synced delay effects. The euphoric peak is achieved through an interplay of melodic counterpoints and harmonic layering, with additional synth layers subtly introduced to enrich the sonic texture. The use of stereo widening effects gives the climax a vast, enveloping quality, making it both danceable and emotionally stirring. "Amore" is not just a track; it’s a journey—a blend of technical prowess and emotional storytelling. With its inspiring melodies, robust production techniques, and Solarstone’s curation, it’s destined to resonate within the trance community and beyond. #PureGold #LoveIT[/content]
