Kasablanca release the first remix package of their debut studio album, 'Higher Resolution', out now on Anjunabeats.
Hitting milestone after milestone, Kasablanca has quickly risen through the ranks of dance music must-see acts over the past four years. Led by the title track of the same name, Side A of their debut studio album 'Higher Resolution' has been the duo's latest step on their meteoric rise.
Following a short hiatus from touring and music at the start of 2024, Kasablanca kicked off the first half of their album with their hit collaboration with Lane 8 on 'Remission', marking their official return since debuting the track during their live set at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Chile, and Peru. This was followed by three more lead-up singles, 'Terminal Feeling', 'Daydream' with anam?, and finally, viral hit 'Breathe'; an official cover of The Prodigy. With over 10M views on socials, the track has seen support worldwide from streaming platforms, DJs, and radio stations alike.
Now, 'Higher Resolution (Side A)' features a host of new remixes from a wide range of artists hand-picked by the band themselves. The first track in the selection comes from American producer CVMRN, who fans might recognize from his 'In Sequence' remix for Kasablanca in 2023. His latest remix of 'Dawn' starts off the remix package in tasteful form, as always.
Originally debuted on SiriusXM Chill last year, Kasablanca is officially releasing their Chill Mix of 'Remission' with Lane 8. Label fans will also be excited to finally get their hands on Genix's remix of 'Daydream' with anam?, which he's been playing in his shows recently. Moving in a different direction and leaning a bit darker with their first remix releases on Anjunabeats, Township Rebellion and Moritz Hofbauer both deliver excellent masterclasses in their melodic techno renditions of 'Higher Resolution' and 'Clarity' respectively.
Sam WOLFE brings the energy with his debut remix on the label, whose recent releases have been tearing up dance floors worldwide over the past year. "This was a really exciting opportunity for me, as I feel like this remix for Kasablanca was a fun way to explore something a little different, both for myself and for a label like Anjunabeats". The Atlanta-based producer has been making a big name with a typically harder techno sound and style, which is evident in his remix of 'Clarity, ' which provides another impressive rework of the anthemic track.
Rounding out the remix package is a beautiful melodic house remix of 'Terminal Feeling' by Otherwish, a mainstay artist on This Never Happened and supporting artist for label boss Lane 8 on many upcoming shows this spring.
Following the successful release of the album, with over 10M streams to date, Kasablanca kicked off their album tour in North America across over 15 states. The duo will continue their touring in 2025 with Lollapalooza in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil at the end of March, followed by Colombia and Guatemala in May.
