Progressive Review: anamē & Moyka - Colder out on Anjunabeats

anamē’s & Mokya ‘Colder’ is out now on Anjunabeats.

Starting out the new year with their next album set-up single, anamē teams up with fellow Norwegian singer/songwriter Moyka on their aptly named record ‘Colder’. This latest release follows on the heels of the duo’s November 2024 double-a side release ‘Hero / It Can Be Better Now’, with the latter track climbing radio charts in the US since it’s debut.

Originally released in 2019 by Moyka on her own ‘Cirlces’ EP, ‘Colder’ has since been reworked by the trio of Scandinavian artists offering a fresh take on the pop track and bringing it closer to anamē’s signature melodic house and techno sound.

Following a monster year of growth for anamē in 2024, including a full year of touring 4 continents following the release of their debut album ‘Beautiful World’ the year prior, 2025 is shaping up to be yet another big step forward. anamē’s forthcoming sophomore album ‘Hopes & Fears’ is set to release in late February and has already jumped out of the gate with the single ‘It Can Be Better Now’ finding traction on multiple radio stations around the United States including Sirius XM.

As seen in this latest release, anamē’s ‘Hopes & Fears’ album looks to be an honest reflection of how Marcus and Thomas feel about the world around them and the connections they’ve made worldwide. An emotive, highly charged record, statement driven, that ultimately leans to the lighter side of life. ‘Colder’ is the latest taste of what is sure to be an exciting body of work.

anamē’s ‘Hopes & Fears’ album is set for release in early 2025, followed by a North American DJ tour to follow in Spring. Tickets on sale now: https://laylo.com/anamemusic/anameontour

Release Date: 17 January 2025
