Breathing new life into the track while preserving its original spirit and charm

In an electrifying collaboration, Ukrainian female talent Korolova and German producer Rokston have reimagined the legendary Ukrainian hit ‘Vorozhyla’ by Ukrainian electro-folk band Go_A and Monokate, released on Tomorrowland Music today! Infusing it with a fresh, modern twist that showcases Korolova's signature style, the duo found the process of reworking such a culturally rich song both fascinating and challenging, blending traditional elements with contemporary electronic beats. This reworked version highlights Korolova's unique interpretation, breathing new life into the track while preserving its original spirit and charm. The result is a mesmerizing fusion that pays homage to its roots while pushing the boundaries of its genre.
Rokston: “I shazamed the vocals of ‘Vorozhyla’ by Go_A on a market in Berlin. Right away, I had the idea to sample the vocals and make a melodic techno track with it. It turned out great and when I dived into the story of the original song and what is behind it, I knew I had to send it to Korolova. Having her as a Ukrainian DJ jump on this song that samples Ukrainian vocals just made perfect sense and complements the story of this track a lot. The crowd reactions when we started to play the song live have been amazing and it’s been Korolova’s and also my most requested track. After having worked together behind the scenes on a couple of records now, we’re really excited to now put out our first collaboration.”
Korolova has solidified her position as one of the most exciting and innovative producers in the electronic dance music scene, already returning to Tomorrowland’s imprint for her fourth release after ‘Sweet Surrender’, ‘Under My Skin’ and ‘Shining’.

​22-years-old German native producer, DJ, and songwriter Emil Vogel is currently one of the most promising artists in electronic music. Under his moniker ROKSTON, he evolves his own very special signature sound of which well-known names in the scene have already become big fans: Korolova, Argy and ARTBAT are already among his supporters and have started working with him. About Go_A

​Ukrainian electro-folk band Go_A gained a huge recognition at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 after placing 5th in grand finale, however public televotes placed them 2nd. The band has been actively touring worldwide since 2021 and became fairly known throughout Europe and the UK for their mesmerizing performances at major festivals such as Glastonbury, PinkPop, Pukkelpop, AppelPop, PohodaFest, Europavox and many others.

Go_A was one of the first bands to achieve international recognition by performing in their native Ukrainian language on the Eurovision stage. The phenomenon of Go_A's music is that it enchants every listener, regardless of the language barrier. They debuted with their Eurovision single "SHUM," which entered the Billboard Global 200 at 158, making it the first song by an artist from Ukraine, as well as the first Ukrainian-language song, to reach the global charts. "SHUM" became an international phenomenon with over 100,000,000 streams worldwide, becoming the 17th Eurovision track to reach this mark and the 5th non-English-language track in the top. Their captivating performance at PinkPop this year earned them a spot in the top 3 best performances at the festival, receiving high praise from critics. The band has also traveled multiple times to Canada to captivate audiences in different cities.

In 2023, Go_A had their longest tour yet, the Ukrainian Magic Tour, spanning 23 different countries and featuring approximately 40 exhilarating shows around Britain, Scandinavia, Balkans, Georgia and Turkey. Among these gigs were some significant dates - a soldout show at a legendary club Paradiso in Amsterdam for over 1500 visitors, a show at the iconic Indigo at the O2 in London, Nalen in Stockholm and Roxy in Prague, as well as a couple more sold out gigs in Dublin and Paris.

Go_A's performances seamlessly blend traditional musical instruments and percussion with modern and contemporary arrangements. About Monokate

​Monokate is the stage name of Kateryna Pavlenko, a Ukrainian singer, folklorist, songwriter, and lead singer of the electro-folk band Go_A, which represented Ukraine at the 2020 and 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. As a member of the band, Kateryna's work is intertwined with Ukrainian folklore, using folk singing techniques and sound. The band has popularised the use of folk motifs among many contemporary Ukrainian artists.

The Monokate project is Kateryna's personal project, in which she expresses her personal, deep emotions through music and poetry, and shows her inner dialog with herself and other people. Many of Monokate's songs are biographical. Through music, the singer tells her story, but touches on topics that are close to many people. Monokate's work is about love, disappointment, hope, friendship, people, and freedom.
