MUSIC NEWS: Armada Music recommends 3 uprising talents for 2024

Armada Music, the global music label is excited for what 2024 has in store for their extended roster, especially those artists whose journeys have accelerated in the past twelve months. Here's to shining a spotlight on some exciting talent to watch out for in 2024.

CARLY WILFORD 

UK-hailing Carly Wilford started her career as a presenter on Rinse FM’s Breakfast Show alongside being a DJ, before taking bold steps to hone her production skills within the house genre - all kickstarted by studying with the Toolroom Academy during lockdown. In just a few years, she has already released on several labels including Armada Music (‘Been Right Here’ and ‘The Awakening’) and Love & Other, gaining the support of tastemakers including BBC Radio 1’s Sarah Story, Danny Howard and Jaguar, and catching the attention of industry leaders shesaid.so and 1001 Tracklists (Future of Dance 2023 list). 2024 is looking just as promising with a string on releases on the cards and a very busy gig schedule.


YULIA NIKO 

Since the age of 15, Berlin-based DJ and producer Yulia Niko has dedicated her life to music, moving to New York in her early-twenties to study production after spending her adolescence DJing and collecting records. Four years of study provided the foundation for her production endeavors, and through her connection to Damian Lazarus and the highly influential Crosstown Rebels, she established herself on the underground circuit across the US and Europe. With releases on Crosstown Records, Rebellion, Watergate, and soon her debut album on Armada Music, Yulia has established her signature melodic production that oscillates between house and techno, garnering support from industry heavyweights including Gorgon City, John Digweed, RUFUS DU SOL and more.

 

FEDERICO GARDENGHI 

Born in a small town near Milan, Italy, sixteen-year-old Federico Gardenghi starting DJing at the young age of six thanks to his early fascination with house music. He reveres Armin van Buuren and Carl Cox as his idols, garnering extensive support from the latter including an invite from the house and techno legend to play with him in Ibiza. At just twelve years old, he was also the youngest DJ to ever play a DJ Mag Live stream. Check out his sound here and be on the lookout for more on the horizon from the prodigy.
