Active Limbic System: The biggest achievement was def our release on In Trance We Trust/Black Hole Recordings with the track ''P.T.S.D.'' which already sits on the top 60's of the beatport top100 trance charts...
Dimitris: Can you rate 2018 for you as a year with 1 being very bad until 10 that is perfect year!
Active Limbic System: 8 very good year, It was really a very good year since all the tracks we produced received massive support from some of the best trance djs/producers such as Alex M.O.R.P.H., Menno de Jong, Manuel Le Saux, Sied van Riel, Amir Hussain, Vlind, Photographer, Daniel Skyver, Nitrous Oxide and much more...

This is my number 1 for this year, Alex is delivering some proper trance and this one is my favourite till now for 2018.Great melody and a smashing drop.
2)Craig Connelly - The Creator (Original Mix)[Subculture]
Another one great producer for sure which productions are top and ''Creator'' is def one of those.A mind blowing melody which continues on the drop too.
3)James Dymond - Black Mirror (Extended Mix)[FSOE]

''Point Of No Return'' was our first release for 2018,released on 24th of April from 1db Records which is the label of our fellow Greek great producer Hi Profile.Tasos aka Hi Profile is one of the best names into the psy scene and it was really an honour for us to release this tune to his label.Received radio support by Menno de Jong , Photographer and more.U gonna love it for sure since it has an awesome melody which continues also on the drop.
2) Costa Pantazis - Scylla Complex (Active Limbic System Remix)[ART Recordings]
Our second release for this year was the remix we did to our fellow Greek Costa Pantazis and his massive tune ''Scylla Complex'' which was released on June 18th. The original was a techlifting one and we gave to it the psy tech version which worked really well according to the massive support it received. It was radio played by Nitrous Oxide , Photographer , Daniel Skyver , Vlind and was also played live here in Athens from Niko Zografos at his gig supporting Paul van DyK,the crowd really loved it.
3) Active Limbic System - P.T.S.D. (Extended Mix)[In Trance We Trust]
Last one for this year is ''P.T.S.D.'' which was released a few days ago (5/11/18) from Black Hole's Recordings sub label In Trance We Trust.After already being featured on the In Trance We Trust CD 021 in 2016 we are back on this great label with a track that combines psy and trance together.The kick and bass is psy and the melody on the breakdown is a euphoric trance melody which continues on the drop too.It has already received support by Menno de Jong , Alex M.O.R.P.H. , Amir Hussain , Manuel Le Saux , Photographer , F.G.Noise and was also supported live on the latest ADE from Sied Van Riel. Currently reached the 58th position of beatport's trance top 100 charts.
3) Best Artist in 2018(DJ & producer) please explain why you pick him/her up:
Active Limbic System: For me the best artist for 2018 is Alex Di Stefano cause his tracks are completely mind blowing and feeling goosebumps while listening to them. Great melodies, perfect combination of tech and trance. He is an ace for sure.
4) Best Remix in 2018, please explain why you liked it so much:
Active Limbic System: Difficult choice but since I have to choose one I will say this Second Sine - Revolt (UCast Remix) [Skullduggery]. It has this underground and dark feeling like all the Skullduggery releases and UCast add his unique touch on this for sure.
5) Best Remix that you have produced in 2018, please tell us why you believe is your best work?
Active Limbic System: The remix we did to Costa Pantazis called ''Scylla Complex''. I believe its one of our best since we combine psy-tech and trance sound elements on it.
6) Best Remixer for 2018, please tell us why you choose him/her:
Active Limbic System: I should say Carl Nicholson since all the remixes he did for this year were really great.He did a massive one to the classic Quench ''Dreams'' and his remix on Liquid Soul's ''Nirvana'' was awesome too.
7) Best New Talent in 2018 (DJ or producer), please explain the reasons why you choose him/her :
Active Limbic System: For sure our fellow Greek/American Niko Zografos and the most simple reason is to listen to his tunes.All his FSOE releases are unique and he def delivers some proper trance.A name u will look after to the future.
8) Best electronic music compilation in 2018, please explain what exactly you liked about this compilation(the elements you appreciate):
Active Limbic System: I will choose VII 4 CD compilation since it has inside some of the best tunes from this year combining psy , tech and trance sounds and its also mixed by the best of the scene such as Askew,Patterson,Tyas and Atkinson.
9) Best artwork/cover for a single/ album or compilation released in 2018, please justify your opinion why this and not another one:
Active Limbic System: I will say that Grotesque is making really nice artworks cant choose one particularly but in general this label's covers are great.
10) Best lyrics in an electronic music track in 2018 (it can be your production or from other artists):
Active Limbic System: The best lyrics for 2018 is the track Bryan Kearney did with Plumb called ''All Over Again''.Cause it speaks about love and how much u want to live with this all over again.
11) Best vocalist/singer featured on electronic music track in 2018, please tell why you appreciate this singer/vocalist and why:
Active Limbic System: Best vocalist is an upcoming one which is also fellow Greek and her name is Pelagia Naki. Her passion for music and singing is really great that's why she works really hard on it and u can understand this while ur listening to her voice. She was also collaborated with Chris Oblivion Stavropoulos on his track ''Phobia Of The Light'' released on Three Drives label Mid-town Records.
12) Best electronic music label for 2018, please justify why you choose this label and what was so special in 2018 about it:
Active Limbic System: I will say two labels since both are delivering so far massive music stuff,its VII and Skullduggery cause the music they are sharing to the fans has unique underground elements.
13) Best electronic music video for 2018, please explain why you like this video so much:
Active Limbic System: I will say that Trance Devine is delivering great videos promoting trance music.
14) Best online social media for 2018 and why you believe is the best particularly in 2018?:
Active Limbic System: I think the best social media for 2018 is Instagram since u can have direct contact with all the trance fans and not only through hashtags.
15) Best Twitter/Facebook/Instagram message you may have received about your music or your DJ performance in 2018:
Active Limbic System: On Twitter from the legend Alex M.O.R.P.H when he played our tune to his radioshow and while I thanked him his answer was ''lets crash the speakers'' showing how much he liked our tune...
16) Best music composition software in 2018, please explain why you appreciate it so much:
Active Limbic System: We are almost 10 years on the scene and we use Reason since then.We updated to the latest version a few days ago and we believe it will take our sound a step forward.It hasn't disappoint us till now so I don't think it will in the future,hehehe....
17) Your Best personal DJ Gig for 2018 (if you are active as DJ) and why you believe is the finest:
Active Limbic System: The best personal for 2018 is the latest event which took place on October 19th here in Athens which was great and all the trance fans really enjoyed it.
18) Best DJ set from other fellow DJ in 2018 and why you believe his/her set was so fantastic?:
Active Limbic System: I will choose if there is no problem with it a set I listened live last year from our fellow Greek producer/DJ Chris Oblivion Stavropoulos when he supported Paul van Dyk's set here in Athens.The flow of his set was amazing,he combined all the trance sounds of psy , tech and uplifting into an awesome way.

Active Limbic System: Degenerate radio show is the best show since Sean Tyas knows to deliver the best trance.
20) Best Radio station in 2018, please explain why this radio station is your favourite:
Active Limbic System: Best radio station is Trance Energy Radio which was also the station who supported our radioshow before we stop it due to lack of time.

Active Limbic System: I don't follow any website all I need from the scene I can find it on soundcloud and youtube while I follow almost all the artists and labels.
22) Best piece of advice you got in relation to your career in 2018 and has helped you to progress even further:
Active Limbic System: Keep working and the results will revealed.
Dimitris: In 2018 there was a big movement for revival of classic tracks and retro events have boomed with music policy of solely classic tracks. What is your opinion about events or stages only with classics and can you choose for us your absolute 3 favourite classics?
Active Limbic System: I think it's great of having stages with classics sets since it's important for the youngers to learn and the oldest to remember, hehehe... We must not forget those epic tunes so there must be such stages since it's like making a tribute to them.

Active Limbic System: As I mentioned before we update our software to the latest version a few days ago so in our plans for 2019 is to take our sound a step forward and to deliver of course more proper and music trance stuff.
Dimitris: Finally, what is your biggest wish for 2019 and give us your wishes for our readers?
Active Limbic System: First of all I am wishing for me and my pal to have great health and to continue producing proper trance to all the fans.
