In exactly one week ADE by Day is up and running, touching on themes as art, film, music, gear, and talks. Grab the ADE Card, get yourself on the move and amaze yourself with the program we have scheduled. Below are some of the highlights, but obviously this is just the top of the iceberg.

Charlotte Krieger and LYZZA | Opening Event
Free entrance
An ADE x Foam collaborative project called "She Only Paints with Bold Colours", by photographer Charlotte Krieger and producer LYZZA. Krieger and LYZZA are the two selected artists for this year’s ADE x Foam project. Together they worked on the project under the name She Only Paints with Bold Colours. The project is the result of blending the practices of these two confident young artists who do not shy away from expressing the good and the bad, the ugly and beauty, the hard and the soft. To walk this line one has to paint with Bold Colours, to be seen, heard, and felt. This collaborative audiovisual performance takes place at Het Stenen Hoofd, a remarkable no man’s land situated along the IJ river. The performance, taking place on 18 October is the festive kick-off for the project running until 15 November 2018. The collaborative installation will be open with free public access.

The Record Bag of Jayda G & Kenny Dope (ADE Sound Lab)
Free entrance for ADE Card holders (limited)
Each record has a story: a rare 7-inch from that crazy thrift-store in the middle of nowhere, the first vinyl you bought or perhaps a very first vinyl release. At the "The Record Bag of" series,  inspirational artists are invited to share their personal stories. Jayda G, who released her first solo EP Jaydaisms in 2015, and Kenny Dope, who is known as a living encyclopedia of beats and half of Master at Work, will discuss their most important, loved and played tracks in their record bag. The two artists will talk about the meaning certain records have and what kind of feelings they get from them. With interests in house, hip-hop, Latin, jazz, funk, soul, reggae and last but not least electronic – the revelations promise to get very interesting and diverse!

Cassette Release with Legowelt (ADE Sound Lab)
Free entrance for ADE Card holders (limited)
The cassette tape is probably the ultimate Do-It-Yourself music format to release on, or at least it used to be back in the analog days. It initiated an independent homegrown amateur music culture that operated outside the ordinary labels and distribution channels far before the dawn of the internet and digital music distribution. For the first time, people could start their own label, record and release music for next to nothing in their own bedroom. In recent years, the cassette tape has made a comeback - even though it’s is a bit of a mysterious, ancient relic for people that didn't grow up with it. During this workshop, Legowelt shows that there is nothing to be afraid of when it comes to cassette tape culture. He explains how to produce your own cassette release with just a tape deck, computer, some paper, and a bunch of cassettes. Also, he will show and explain the process - from acquiring a tape deck, brainstorming titles and track names, making the artwork, designing inlays to copying the cassettes and distributing them.

Emotional Porn - Exhibition of the Self
Free entrance for ADE Card holders (limited)

The answer you give is personal and connected to you. I invite you to share a piece of yourself with me, with yourself and with the space you are in. I want you to be aware of the question, the answer and the way you choose to respond”.

As the co-founder of CHIC and the newly elected Chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Rodgers pioneered a musical language that generated chart-topping hits like “Le Freak,” (the biggest selling single in the history of Atlantic Records!) and sparked the advent of hip-hop with “Good Times”. His work in the CHIC Organization and his productions for artists like David Bowie, Diana Ross, and Madonna have sold over 500 million albums and 75 million singles worldwide. His innovative, trendsetting collaborations with Daft Punk, Sigala, Disclosure, and Sam Smith reflect the vanguard of contemporary music.
