The Festival Hangout, located at De Brakke Grond, will once again be the place to 'immerse in sound' for aspiring DJs, producers and music lovers.
The Festival Hangout will be the place during ADE for everything a producer could possibly need; demo drops, workshops, master classes, artist interviews, studio sessions, a gear lab with the latest and most cutting-edge instruments, modular synth setups and live performances.
Get your demos ready
You have all summer to work on your demos, as there are several options for you to get your music heard at ADE Sound Lab through professional feedback from A&R managers, artist managers, agents, producers and promoters, and if you're good enough, you might get signed. Alongside the one-on-one demo pitches, we will host the 23rd edition of Demolition, where six randomly selected USB’s will be selected and commented on by the judges, hosted by Dave Clarke. The winner will receive plenty of cool and useful gear as a prize!
MusicTalks, tech sessions and more
Don Diablo, Joseph Capriati, Orbital and San Holo will be visiting ADE Sound Lab this year to talk about the great music that inspired them to become artists, their passion for (or loathing of) technology, their biggest mistakes, their wardrobe malfunctions and what makes them get out of bed every day. They will be involved in a variety of events at ADE Sound Lab including MusicTalks, technical demonstrations, studio workshops and popular regular panels like Bedroom to Big Room.
Studio sessions
Last year's Studio XL sessions with Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens a.o. were a huge success. We will host several Studio XL sessions again this year at ADE Sound Lab, including Camo & Krooked, Lucas & Steve and Sander van Doorn.
Gear Test Lab
ADE Sound Lab will once again be a hive of high-end musical craftsmanship. Aimed at budding creatives, ADE Sound Lab will be filled with some of the latest and most advanced music technology produced by leading innovators covering every aspect of your performance and production needs. The Test Lab will also be staffed by experts who are there to help, advise and demonstrate the performance capacities of the showcased gear, allowing you to test-run the latest in music technology. Brands include Ableton, Bax Music, Elektron, KV331, Pioneer DJ, Roland, Novation and more.

ADE Sound Lab will run from Thursday, October 18th through Saturday, October 20th, with the program starting at noon. ADE Sound Lab is accessible for ADE Card (€15,-) holders, as well as as with the ADE Pass and ADE Conference Pass, available here.
The Festival Hangout at de Brakke Grond (Nes 45) will be open from Wednesday, October 17th through Saturday, October 20th from 10 AM onwards and is located at the heart of Amsterdam just 10 minutes away from Amsterdam Central Station.
