Memories in music and everlasting impressions, two ideas at heart of the debut studio LP ‘Scars’ by ilan Bluestone. A leading figure in the trance and electronic music scene for the last 5 years, the British producer has performed at the likes of Madison Square Gardens, Red Rocks and Wembley Arena, is a regular in the sets of Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren and Cosmic Gate, and has notched up 10 #1 singles in the Beatport Trance charts along the way.

Reflecting his infectious personality, ilan’s long awaited ’Scars’ album has been honed on the road and in the studio over the last twelve months. Marrying sensitive song writing with his vintage spine tingling melodies, these 15 tracks journey through the styles and sounds of music that have influenced ilan’s life creatively.

Considered the voice of ilan’s productions, British singer / songwriter Giuseppe De Luca provides five features on the record, including the trance-step album title hybrid ‘Scars’, the anthemic ‘Frozen Ground’ and new singles ‘Let Me Know’ and ‘I Believe'. A sun soaked take on 80s pop music, it’s shades on and roof down for ‘Cosmic Feeling’.

Having introduced ilan to the label in 2011 with ‘On Our Own’, Maor Levi contributes two collaborations to the mix; the funk fuelled ‘Everybody’ and groove heavy sort after ID ‘Will We Remain?’, featuring soulful vocals from London’s EL Waves. A further pulsating dance floor moment sees ilan join forces with Sunny Lax for '43+86=129’, a mathematical play on the duos previous numerical solo tracks.

‘Guru’, ‘Not Alone’ and ‘Eclipse’ see him step out of his comfort zone for eclectic moments that despite their change in direction, still deliver the emotive punch of ilan’s sound.

One of the scene’s most vibrant talents, ilan Bluestone’s debut album ‘Scars’ hit stores worldwide on the 27th of April, with phase 2 of his supporting world tour including festival and club dates.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]ilan Bluestone is definitely on the highest point of his career and Scars is an album that he should be proud and extremely satisfied for producing. Anjunabeats has offered us the superb sampler including 8 tracks that proves the high class sound of the final outcome that shines with beauty and blossoms passion for quality electronic music. Everybody with Maor Levi is electro trance meets progressive house with soulful male vocal and huge synths and siren effects for maximum turbulence. Rival with Ellen Smith is a powerful proglifting beauty with great empowering vocal that fits so well within the explosive synths and pulsating energetic basslines. It will be impossible not to start singing along. Noa is incredible full on headbanging proglifting anthem with melancholic piano melody and massive euphoric synthy riffs with certain travelling cinematic escapist atmosphere to it. Will We Remain? is his excellent collaboration with his good friend Maor Levi featuring the stunning EL Waves vocals. The track has superb energy with vocals that stand out with imaginative deep lyrics that describe a story that will be adored by many listeners. It's definitely one of the strongest tracks and everybody is looking forward for its initial single release supported by strong remixes. I Believe has been reviewed already and is another gold moment with Giuseppe. For 43+86=129 he collaborates with Sunny Lax for an instrumental beauty of the highest calibre. The breakdown is very long and cinematic with truly mesmerizing atmosphere that combines huge orchestral strings, cinematic themes and heavenly choir like voices. The climax is euphoric and full on with melody that gives goosebumps instantly. Not Alone is deeper melodic progressive trance with prog house touches that seems to come out from Anjunadeep vaults. Smooth flirting synths, distorted vocals and warm piano melody followed by nice groovy climax perfect for warm-up sets. Blue Angel has fantastic balearic feel with ethnic like voices and very long and pleasing breakdown leading to the massive hands in the air climax. Scars is not early to say that is one of the strongest electronic music albums for 2018. #PureGold Love IT  [/content]
