Tracklisting and comments by Nick The Kid

1. Alex Di Stefano - My Shadow - In Trance We Trust
Sometimes you hear a track and you just know it will be one of the biggest releases of the year, a tidal wave of sound, just love all the elements used and overall energy, a real masterpiece and perfect for an opener.

2. Conductor & The Cowboy - Feeling This Way (Bryan Kearney & Adam Ellis Remix) - CDR
Being a Koolwaters regular back in the 90’s this production from resident/promoter Marc Vedo is etched on my mind. This rework really captures all the magic of the original, but is of course a lot more playable in the current climate. Saying that, I did cheekily close my set at Judgement Sundays, Ibiza a few years back with the original and it simply ook the roof off.  Those vocals will never get old. (for me anyway!).

3. SolarStone & Scott Bond - Red Line Highway (Factor B's Extended Back To The Future Remix) - Armada
Big fan of Factor B’s work, this classic rework is of course an absolute monster! I hands-down love it over the original.

4. Solis & Sean Truby - Skin Deep - STANDERWICK Remix - Infrasonic
Going back a few years, this was by far my favourite vocal-trance production from 2014. The lead synth is also outstanding on this. Always gets a great reaction in my sets.

5. Lost Tribe - Gamemaster (The Sixth Sense remix) - CDR
No introduction needed here, a classic in anyone’s books. Killer reworking here from Sixth Sense for 2018 and a nice powerful alternative to the original. It’s a free download too.

6. Nick The Kid, RDK - Light Follows Darkness - Discover
Probably my favourite track that I’ve had signed to Discover, really pleased with the sound and energy we captured on this. A melting pot of styles that happened to work on the day, proud of this one and always fun to work with Rich RDK.

7. Nick The Kid & RDK - Flight Path  - HTE Recordings
Currently charting on the download stores, a more current track from us on my own label HTE, the reactions have been simply amazing from the DJs. Plus, my last house where we wrote it was right next to Heathrow Airport, hence the title - a nice reminder of a great house and housemates too ;-)

8. Nick The Kid & Louk - Dreams (Wavetraxx Remix) - HTE Recordings
Dreams which I co-wrote with Louk was my first ever proper vinyl signing in 2004, exciting times back then! If you’d told me 13 years later I would be re-releasing it on my own label via Black Hole Distribution, with fresh remixes from S.H.O.K.K, Wavetraxx & Tempestarii, I’d have said you’d done too many speckled love-hearts!. Absolutely love the emotion Wavetraxx has added with this new version, looking forward to the reactions on all mixes in March.

9. Ali Wilson & Chris North - Wanna Play - Luca Antolini & Andrea Montorsi Remix - HTE Recordings
Coming soon on HTE, I thought I’d throw in a world exclusive from the label. This remix from the biggest names in Italian Hard Trance has got some huge crossover potential. I love how these guys always come up with a more futuristic direction in their Hard Trance productions without losing their existing appeal. This is dynamite!

10. Nick The Kid & Jake Nicholls - The Looking Glass - HTE Recordings
Last year Jake and I wanted to join the Bonzai 25 Year celebrations, a label that was very influential to both of us in the beginning. Sadly Bonzai aren’t releasing classic sounding material these days. (We did try of course lol), Instead I commissioned Baby Doc to do a 90’s style remix and we released the project for a bit of fun on HTE. It’s currently in promo and the reactions have really put a smile on our faces. It was really cool to work on a track purely for nostalgia’s sake.

11. Lab4 & Nick The Kid - Stranger Things - HTE Recordings
Massive fan of Lab4 from back in the day, always tried to book them for my event Hindsight, but sadly it never came off for one reason or another. This year I finally made the booking happen and we also collaborated on a track together. So a double win and one off the bucket list. A great mix of both our styles on this and a fitting way to end the mix I reckon at 145! :-)
