Three records taken from Jian Kellet Liew a.k.a Kyson’s internationally acclaimed 2016 album ‘A Book Of Flying’; ‘A Song About The Future’, ‘Flightless’, and ‘You’ receive three fresh reworks, marking the Anjunadeep debut of the Australian born, Berlin based vocalist and producer. First up ‘A Song About The Future’, the original, a stunning contemplative vocal number from the LP, gets a textured underground rework from fellow Berliner and Kompakt affiliate, Dave DK, who returns to Anjunadeep following his memorable 2014 remix of Vincenzo. Next, Anjuna mainstay Jody Wisternoff and label boss James Grant put their distinctive deep house touch on ‘Flightless’; a familiar moment from the pair’s recent iTunes Dance #1 album ‘Anjunadeep 08’. Another Berliner, Ryan Davis rounds off the package following on from his impressive ‘From Within’ EP on Anjunadeep last year. Davis warps the delicate original into a dark and brooding electronic cut.
