REVIEW: Jardin - U-Bahn out on VANDIT records

Hang about… we think we spy a pattern emerging here! With his ‘Suicide Circus’ debut raising a salute to the eponymous Berlin nightspot, Jardin warms to his theme of the German capital with his sophomore creation.

And what better place for a track entitled ‘U-Bahn’ than the city’s foremost record label, we ask?! Yes, indeed, it is VANDIT who have again inked the producer’s latest homage to the place they call home.

As any native or resident will likely tell you, the iconic U-Bahn (or Untergrundbahn) is a fast, efficient, effective, underground mover of people. And hey, floor-side, that defines our ‘U-Bahn’ to a tee!

Cloaked as a secret ID weapon for several weeks, PvD premiered the track on VONYC Sessions 545 to a big online reception. One listen and it’s not hard to see (or hear!) why... Constructed around a primetime tempo, Jardin capitalizes on its purpose-filled drums with crisp, crowd-inciting percussion and boosted bass. Further up its range, you’ll find flourishing sub-melodies, which develop into touching piano parts and ultimately reveal its big, final mainline ‘Gotcha’!

Uplifting x uplifting – you can take a ride on Jardin’s 'U-Bahn' from today: XXX

As one of the most cutting-edge and enduringly innovative labels of the electronic music generation, VANDIT Records stays true to its philosophy ‘No Art Without Artists’. At the start of the 2000s VANDIT made immediate waves releasing a string of now established club classics like Nu-NRG’s ‘Dreamland’, The Thrillseekers’ ‘Synaesthesia’ and Jose Amnesia’s ‘The Eternal’ to name just a few. With an artist talent pool of established names, such as Judge Jules, Alex M.O.R.P.H and founder Paul van Dyk himself as well as lots of gifted younger blood names they keep on bringing high-quality electronic music into the scene.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Jardin with U-Bahn on VANDIT attempts to be different and he manage it successfully. The track U-Bahn is a monstrous size tune with chunky old school grooves, acid overtones, sharp techy basslines and magnificent breakdown with tripping out atmosphere. Simple and evocative piano melody is followed by huge synthy hooks that drive the track to its full on climax. Anthemic with classic Paul van Dyk influences is what can only sum up this top tune. #ThisIsTrance #PureGold Love iT[/content]
