Live In Montreal showcases Digweed’s un-paralleled repertoire of dance music’s most thrilling productions fusing together elements of all subgenres from techno to deep house, a theme that runs so elegantly through his own Bedrock Records releases. With the final piece of the puzzle set for release, fans can now relive the monumental night to the full extent.
'Releasing the 6xCD set from my marathon 11 hour set was one of the biggest projects that Bedrock has undertaken. We really had no idea how it would be received and were blown away by the reaction and fantastic reviews that followed it’s release’
'Even though it clocked in at just under 8 hours of music, this was still not the full set I played that night/day. After receiving so many requests to release the final part of the set, we started the task of licensing the rest of the tracks in the final section. However a couple of the tracks were released on major labels which meant the process of clearing all of the tracks took a lot longer than it normally takes. At times we thought shall we continue but I am happy to say that we persevered and can now bring you the final part of my set from Stereo in Montreal. Designed in the same wallets so that this part of the release will fit perfectly into the original box set to complete the journey and look great in your collection.'

After worldwide hit singles ‘Are You With Me’ and ‘Reality’, Lost Frequencies just took another big step towards the continuation of his meteoric rise to international stardom. The young Belgian prodigy inked a deal with Armada Music, signing his forthcoming album to the Amsterdam-based record company.
The first single of Lost Frequencies’ forthcoming album, ‘Beautiful Life’, is already set for release on June 3rd this year and is to feature in the official aftermovie of Tomorrowland Brasil. The acclaimed festival touched down in the South-American country last week and Lost Frequencies himself performed at the main stage on Thursday April 21st.
Lost Frequencies, born Felix de Laet, released debut single ‘Are You With Me’ on Armada Music sub label The Bearded Man less than two years ago, after which it grew to be a worldwide hit single. ‘Are You With Me’ was awarded with certified gold, platinum, and multiple platinum in more than a dozen countries, all the while the song racked up more than half a billion streams to date. In addition, ‘Are You With Me’ claimed the sought-after #1 spot in the UK Singles Charts.
‘Reality’, the second single of the Belgian superstar, was made in collaboration with singer-songwriter Janieck Devy and followed in the footsteps of ‘Are You With Me’. The record was also released on The Bearded Man last year; it reeled in certified gold and platinum in almost as many countries as its predecessor and adds more than 300 million streams to the tally. On top of that, ‘Reality’ went on to claim the #1 spot in the European Airplay Chart in 2015.
Maykel Piron, CEO Armada Music: “We are more than excited about extending the collaboration with Felix (Lost Frequencies). He is not only a talented producer and DJ, but also a great person. A ‘friend of the office’ who inspires the staff with his music and spirit. We love that! We can’t wait to release the follow-up to ‘Are You With Me’ and ‘Reality’. ‘Beautiful Life’ is the perfect single.”
Lost Frequencies: “I am so excited to show the world all of the new music I’ve been working on since ‘Are You With Me’ and ‘Reality’. I still can’t really comprehend all that has happened, but I’m sure that the renewed partnership between Armada Music, my team, and myself will spark yet another crazy journey for ‘Beautiful Life’ and my debut album.”
Nick Royaards, manager of Lost Frequencies: “It has been an amazing journey so far and we hope the fans are ready to embrace all of the new music Lost Frequencies has ready to share. We have strong belief in Armada Music and know Maykel Piron and his team will do an incredible job with both the single and the new album. The synergy between our teams is something very special and has produced some truly amazing results to date, so we’re excited for what’s to come."
Grand MAYDAY anniversary in Dortmund’s Westfalenhallen on 30 April – Classic Floor with the DJs from the very first years 1991 saw 6,000 people celebrating the first MAYDAY in Berlin. 25 years later over 20,000 visitors are expected to converge on the halls of Dortmund’s Westfalenhallen for MAYDAY “Twenty Five”. Over 50 top international artists of the electronic music scene, including “Robin Schulz”, “Sven Väth”, “Jeff Mills”, “R3HAB” and “Showtek”, will be playing on one of the five floors on 30 April. A highlight will surely be the “Twenty Dome” with a host of DJs from the very first years, such as “Lenny Dee”, “Tanith”, “Ravers Nature” and “Hardfloor”.
Berlin, December 1991: The youth radio station “DT64” is faced with closure. The still-young techno scene is shocked. At that time the station was one of the first to play “techno music”. Scene activists organise a rescue party putting out the distress call: “MAYDAY, MAYDAY”. It is the genesis of the first major rave in Germany and MAYDAY goes on to become the unmissable event of an entire generation.
The move to Dortmund is as early as 1993, with the spacious halls of the Westfalenhallen playing host to 16,000 “ravers”. Acts such as “The Prodigy” and “Moby” are on stage. Electronic music is not just a trend but is inexorably developing into the seminal youth subculture of the 90s. MAYDAY continues to grow in the years to follow. New floors are set up in addition to the “Arena” for techno, house and the “harder styles”. Attendance figures climb to an all-time high, with 27,000 visitors at the 2011 20th anniversary.
At this year’s MAYDAY “Twenty Five” over 50 DJs and LiveActs will be delivering the entire gamut of electronic music on the five floors. Not just one but a total of three Dutch superstars will be at the decks in the form of “R3HAB”, “Showtek” and “Blasterjaxx”. According to DJ Mag, a leading international magazine for the dance scene, all three rank among the Top 50 of the best DJs inthe world. But a match for anybody as well are the German DJ stars with none other than “Robin Schulz”, “Gestört aber GeiL” and “Moguai”. It is especially “Robin Schulz” with his countless hits and awards who has enjoyed a meteoric career in the last two years. His most recent singles “Waves”, “Prayer in C” and “Sugar” all shot to the top of the German charts. Over 30 platinum awards worldwide and a Grammy nomination further testify to his extraordinary success.
By way of contrast, “techno” orbits more on the fringes of mainstream. Perhaps despite this or precisely because of it, the genre enjoys huge popularity in the scene. The second largest floor at MAYDAY goes by the name of “Empire” and will feature techno acts such as “Len Faki”, “Klaudia Gawlas”, “Slam” and “Niereich”. But also on the bill are two truly legendary DJs of the electronic music scene: “Sven Väth” and “Jeff Mills”. They both actually played at MAYDAY in the first two years and are still two of the most sought-after DJs on the planet. Definitely one notch harder at least will be hard-core acts such as “Noize Suppressor”, “Partyraiser” and “Dr. Peacock” in the “Factory”, while the likes of “AKA AKA feat. Thalstroem” and “The Disco Boys” will be delivering groovy house beats in the “Mixery-Casino”.
To reflect the event’s rich tradition at this year’s anniversary MAYDAY, artists such as “Lenny Dee”, “Hardfloor”, “Tanith” and “Ravers Nature” have also been invited – all of them DJs who played at MAYDAY in its very first years. They will be appearing on a special Classic Floor, the “Twenty Dome”, and playing the tracks of yesteryear. Lighting, visuals and sound on this floor will also be reminiscent of the first years of MAYDAY.
MAYDAY is renowned for its impressive show production. Whether huge LED surfaces or kinetic constructions, the MAYDAY designers come up with new ideas each and every year. Last year 350 tonnes of state-of-the-art light, LED, laser, video and sound systems were installed on an area covering more than 20,000 square metres. It’s certainly not going to be any less for the 25th anniversary on 30 April.

In an era where an artist often runs a label, deals with creative agencies, does their own social media and much more - what does that actually mean in terms of their routine, the conflicts and synergies between their different commitments, and how does it affect the team of people they work with?

Managing Director of the global indie label to share his experiences at ADE of running a label formed in the industry’s golden era that made it through the hardest of times to become a genuine global player.
Following on from recent announcements of Anthony Saleh, Bruce Eskowitz and 'Scripted Orchestra', ADE is honoured to welcome a true innovator of the global independent scene.
30 years ago as a young music fan and aspiring manager with little working knowledge of the music industry, Martin Goldschmidt formed a label with distribution manager Pete Lawrence, called it Cooking Vinyl, and started releasing records. Despite that lack of experience, things worked out and have continued to do so ever since, although the past three decades have been something of a roller-coaster ride with plenty of highs and lows and steep learning curves.
These days Cooking Vinyl is a genuinely global player with offices in the US and Australia, and a reputation as one of Europe’s prime artist-focused independent labels, inspiring an enviable loyalty among its artist roster. It is also in the vanguard of music companies offering innovative services-only deals that claim no stake in artists’ copyrights. Artists signed to Cooking Vinyl include Marilyn Manson, Billy Bragg, Röyksopp, Madness, James, Gary Numan, Amanda Palmer, The Pretty Reckless, Groove Armada, The Cult, and The Prodigy. “I am a very lucky person, being able to get paid for spending time working on my hobby for 30 years,” Goldschmidt said. “And I'm looking forward to sharing what I've learnt along the way at Amsterdam Dance Event.”
Date, time and venue to be announced.

The industry veteran will be revealing how he helped grow the privately owned artist management company into an industry leader.
After the announcements of both Anthony Saleh keynote and 'Scripted Orkestra', ADE is delighted to announce the presence of another US management heavyweight in the form of Bruce Eskowitz.
Eskowitz, who is also COO of New Era and Green Light Media, joined Red Light Media in 2009 after holding numerous positions at Live Nation and its previous companies, including Clear Channel Entertainment, SFX and Pace Entertainment. In addition to overseeing all of RLM’s management activities, Eskowitz manages an impressive lineup of artists, including Lionel Richie, Giorgio Moroder, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, New World Punx, Deep Dish, Leona Lewis, Mat Franco and Herbie Hancock.
Modern management
At ADE, Eskowitz will be examining all areas of modern management, discussing best practice in overseeing venues, touring, merchandise and sponsorship, as well as how to build long lasting relationships with major brands such as American Express, Budweiser, and Ford. Alongside that, he will be discussing how he sees the future role of the manager as the music industry becomes ever more dependent on revenue from streaming, sponsorship and merchandising. Date, time and venue for Eskowitz's keynote to be announced.

At ADE, Saleh will be expanding on the value of a philosophy of adaptability and spontaneity, discussing the changing role of managers in the digital era, and explaining the value of keeping your roster small.
With the announcement of 'Scripted Orkestra’: Henrik Schwarz & the Metropole Orkest still in mind, we turn our focus to the daytime program with the announcement of the first speakers at ADE's conference.
Named as part of Billboard’s 30 Under 30 list in 2011 and Forbes’ 30 Under 30 In Music: Class of 2015, Anthony Saleh’s accomplishments as the CEO of artist management firm Emagen Entertainment Group are exemplary. “Succeeding in the music business is much more about pivoting on the fly, rather than having an air-tight plan,” the Emagen Entertainment Group CEO, and managing partner at VCap Investment Group, told Forbes.
In his keynote appearance at ADE, Saleh will be expanding on the value of a philosophy of adaptability and spontaneity, discussing the changing role of managers in the digital era, and explaining the value of keeping your roster small. LA-born Saleh is also currently actively diversifying his portfolio in the tech world as an investor and partner through the VCap Investment Group, a company that also includes the rapper Nas. Date, time and venue for Saleh's keynote to be announced.

The definitive vocal hit on Anjunabeats over the last 6 months, ilan Bluestone and Giuseppe De Luca's chart topping 'Bigger Than Love' has become a peak time favourite since its debut at Above & Beyond's Group Therapy 150 celebrations.
One of the talented young guns in the Armada stable, David Gravell makes his Anjunabeats debut with a dark club rework. Regularly found in the sets of DJ heavy weights Armin Van Buuren and Hardwell, David's remix keeps the strong musicality of the original at its heart; chopping and changing the tempo for an engaging mix.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Bigger Than Love is definitely one of the biggest trance anthems for 2016 and now the beloved Dutch upcoming star David Gravell unleashes his own version that targets the biggest rooms with aggressive fat drums, punchy sharp basslines and superb breakdown that creates cinematic atmosphere until the instantly recognisable melody is slowly revealed and explodes out of any proportions. The energy and emotional impact that this track radiates is phenomenal. #PureGold Love it[/content]

Miami’s finest, Robbie Rivera, combines with the UK's Tom Staar for one of the most eagerly anticipated Axtone releases of recent times, ‘The Funkatron’. Skillfully transitioning into summer from a monumental WMC, ‘The Funkatron’, has already garnered support from the likes of Axwell & Ingrosso, Tiësto, Danny Howard, and countless more.
An instantly recognisable club classic, ‘The Funkatron’ heralds back to the golden era of Erick Morillo’s Subliminal imprint, and one of Robbie’s first major breakthroughs into the dance music world. Fresh off a Bob Sinclar collaboration, Robbie Rivera continues to further his tribal-influenced sound, since appearing on Axtone in 2015 via his single ‘Falling Deeper’ featuring Shawnee Taylor. Aside from his imminently pending album, ‘The Funkatron’ is a clear representation of Robbie’s foresight as a producer and DJ in all things House.
Returning to Axtone from last year’s Miami weapon ‘Bora’, Tom Staar looks towards an exciting 2016, consisting of an appearance at Axtone’s Tomorrowland stage, a forthcoming NEW_ID collaboration, and the launch of he and Kryder’s “Cartel” label.
Amassing a buzz after its WMC domination, ‘The Funkatron’ demonstrates Robbie and Tom’s ability to tastefully flip this club classic. Incorporating propulsive synths and booming drums, perfectly suiting it for release amongst Axtone Records’ exciting year ahead.

Christian Schmitz, aka Dj Paffendorf has created a very special video to honour the legacy of Gottfried Engels in the electronic dance music. Gottfried Engels was the owner of top labels like Gang Go with hit artists Blank & Jones, Fragma, Paffendorf and lately Tiger records with countless beatport hits and massive worldwide beloved club artists under his belt. Gottfried died in August 2015 and he has left an uncovered gap in the German electronic music that will be irreplaceable. Gottfried was a very talented gifted individual with the incredible ability to spot the future hits and work hard for endless hours behind the scenes to bring them to the public attention and become monster hits in German market. What is very important about him is that he was a very dedicated friend with kind heart and great sense of humour.
Christian Schmitz notes: This Video is dedicated to honour Gottfried Engels
(*7. Februar 1949 - ✝ 22. August 2015) Owner of Tiger Records.
"Und meine Seele spannte weit ihre Flügel aus, flog durch die stillen Lande, als flöge sie nach Haus.“
...und wir glaubten, wir hätten noch so viel Zeit"
translation: "and my soul stretched far from their wings, flew through the quiet countryside, as they fly home."
... And we thought we'd still have so much time".
With the opportunity of this video is great chance to remember together some of the best Tiger Records that had the Gottfried Engels special touch! Now that's what I call Tiger Weapons, and those are just some of all the massive tunes released on the top label.
1-Bellini - Samba De Janeiro 2015
2-Fragma – Toca Me (twoloud Edit)
3-Kiki Doll - Don't Leave (Block & Engels Video Mix)
4-Damae - That Same Old Line (Children) (Block & Engels Ibiza Sunrise Dub Mix)
5-Rashid Ajami - Rule The World (Block & Engels Official Video Edit)

7-Le Zoo - Everything You Wanted (Gottfried Engels Life Is Life Mix) (Tiger Records)
8-The Rich & Famous - Such a Good Feeling (Engels & Patrick Ferryn Feels So Good Mix)

Paul McCartney is one of the most important personalities of the rock. With a string of hits he showed the way in the 70s, as the front man of the legendary The Beatles and to his own project Paul McCartney and Wings.
Originally a B-side, the brilliant'Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five 'was published for the first time 1973. However, it took until 2009 when Timo Maas discovered this track again. Amazed how recent the song still sounded to Maas teamed up with James Teej to visualize this classic sound and give it a more modern character.
The official release date is May 13 via Virgin Records Germany.
The original of' Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five 'was the last song of the album "Band On The Run" and includes both references to George Orwell's "1984" as well as an unusual love story.
The heavyweights of the music industry Timo Maas & James Teej build the track on to say provide it with electronic energy and thus create a perfect synergy of past and present.
Timo Maas' career had a major impact on the electronic music scene for 30 years, he travels the world and put it toward a presentable career. He worked for Madonna, Depeche Mode, Fatboy Slim, Placebo and received a Grammy nomination for his remix on Tori Amos. He is also well known for his label / band My Favourite Robot.
The Canadian James Teej can also look back on 20 years of DJ and producer existence. In Timo's Landhaus in Germany the two tinkered on a vision and created together this special remix of the classic Paul McCartney and set new standards for contemporary electronic music.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]I must confess that I was not aware of the original track so the first thing that I did was to search on YouTube and find the original in order to understand what is really going on. From the fans of the original who have left comments on YouTube I understood that the track even back then sounded futuristic and weird enough to get the fans addicted without understanding the reason. The truth is that the original Paul track is absolutely stunning and the track radiates so much energy plus I found that the track is very optimistic and ready for party. Timo Maas is well known for his darker underground tones so his original remix is darker moody dystopian and futuristic with electronic pulsating basslines, dark strings, guitar riffs and original piano chords. The vocal shines on the top of course. The Club version applies a tougher more tribal tech beat with dark drums, punchy basslines and that rolling rhythm that is addictive and hypnotic to the maximum. It is destined to be all over the summer holidays destinations this summer without doubts and deserves it. What is most important is that these two remixes are not mainstream watered down pop minded versions. The remixers attempted successfully to bring to the track the futuristic appeal at the forefront in order to pay a tribute on the track's longevity and eternal appeal of a creation of a true music genius. #PureGold Love It[/content]
