REVIEW: Mark Villa - No Mercy out on Mixmash Records

10.0
Overall Score

After signing to Mixmash Records in recent months following the release of his debut ‘Venture’ and remix of Inpetto’s ‘Needin’ U So’ – Dutch dynamite Mark Villa can now unveil his monstrous new release. ‘No Mercy’ is forthcoming on Mixmash Records on the 22nd August 2016.

At the tender age of 15, Mark Villa is the youngest member of the Mixmash family – having already proven his huge potential to label boss Laidback Luke. 2016 has been the start of a very promising music career for the talented producer, with festival debuts at Tomorrowland and Parookville already under his belt.

As Mark continues to gather support from international tastemakers and fans across the globe, he serves up a record that transcends him even further. ‘No Mercy’ builds on powerful opening bars & resonating electronic bleeps that in turn form the basis of a progressive monster. Packed with penetrating synths, the anthemic intonation of the track lifts it far beyond any production barrier, solidifying Mark Villa as a permanent fixture on the electronic dance music scene.

Summary

No Mercy is the latest release on Mixmash by the hands of the wonderkid Mark Villa. The 15th year old proves that he knows well his game and his ready to conquer his own throne in it. No Mercy is future/rave house essential with the sweetness and melodic affinity of deep house combined with punchy basslines and energetic drums of future house. While the breakdown is luscious like a beautiful sunset in the Greek Islands the climax is rough, euphoric and furious like being in the front raw of Tomorrowland jumping and shouting ready to reach the moons and the stars. Mark Villa shows no sign of Mercy! #PureBassPower Love It
