REVIEW: Kyau & Albert feat. In Gray - Sleeping Lions incl Hello Machines remix out on Anjunabeats

A vibrant summer hit, Germany’s finest Ralph Kyau and Steven Albert return to Anjunabeats with the indie flavoured ‘Sleeping Lions’.

Having achieved notoriety for Steven’s vocal works over the years, including classics ‘Velvet Morning’, ‘Are You Fine’ and more recently ‘Made Of Sun’, the duo look to up and coming singer-songwriting collective In Gray for their latest outing.

Overflowing with feel good vibes courtesy of In Gray’s warm vocal and the country edged chord progression, Kyau & Albert are continuing to evolve their sound as they celebrate 20 years in the business. A sought after ID from their Anjunabeats Miami Pool Party set, ‘Sleeping Lions’ groove heavy approach and soaring pads offer a unique dance floor moment.

Providing a deeper rework are fellow German act Hello Machines. Adding a contemporary continental house swing and gritty bassline rolls to the arrangement, their ’Sleeping Lions’ rework is given a sun soaked beach flavour.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Sometimes sounds too repetitive to stress how much we appreciate the talent of Kyau & Albert. We all know by now their always perfect productions and remixes and this is not an exception. They certainly break new grounds with Sleeping Lions as it is so unique and truly special. Chunky grooves and drums, pulsating basslines and superb warm strings on the top while in the breakdown the brilliant mysterious sing a long vocal comes out to surprise your ears. The climax is refreshing packed with epic melodramatic strings, big room synths and great atmosphere that transfer you certainly somewhere in the jungle. If you like to move forward your listening experiences this records promises to deliver change. Hello Machines remix is deep melodic house at its best. Deep haunting basslines, chunky grooves and excellent breakdown with piano, distorted synths and the mindblowing vocals. The climax continues deep and groovy with that dark synthy stabs on top, piano themes and the superb orchestral strings to add the melodramatic pompous theatrical touch to the final out of this world result. Music can leave you speechless or in my case wordless and it happens with this one! #PureGold Love It[/content]
