REVIEW: Solid Stone & Jennifer Rene - Pushing Up out on Coldharbour recordings

Having demonstrated his credentials as one of the finest exponents in the progressive side of trance, Canadian rising star Solid Stone gears up for his debut album with an important piece released as a single, entitled Pushing Up.

The Montreal native signaled his intentions for a groove-laden album with double EP Profound and Get On My Vinyl prior to Christmas, and with Pushing Up he collaborates with one of trance's distinguished voices, his good friend Jennifer Rene. The result is outstanding, with a deeply, darkened composition which will set the dance floor firmly in motion inside the dark confines of a club.

To back up the original, UK brotherly duo Arkham Knights are recruited, and their infectious combination of tech and trance come to the fore again, taking Pushing Up to the peak festival ambiance.

With both versions receiving extensive support from label owner Markus Schulz, Pushing Up will possess a broad appeal with the mixes on offer. Whatever choice you make, it's one that will do the business.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Coldharbour recordings delivers another diamond in the trance spectrum. The magnificent Solid Stone provides the original truly deep smooth warm and haunting  version with the beloved Jennifer adding her emotional heartfelt performance that is truly erotic and very exotic too. Understated melody and cinematic atmosphere transcend you to another space for sure. The brothers from Leeds prove that Yorkshire is strong in the trance scene as well with their bigger, bolder, harder and Suburban Train infused dark moody Coldharbour big room style version. Two incredible versions that will be hammered a lot in the coming months. Love It[/content]
