REVIEW: Lena - Beat To My Melody (Remixes EP) out on Universal Music Germany

Looking for creative inspiration comes Lena like new but also sometimes unusual ways. Other countries or even continents, surprising collaborations with other artists - all are welcome and absolutely desirable influences, which are reflected in her music. Lena's songwriting of her fourth album took place alongside Berlin and Los Angeles and London, where she worked with renowned songwriters in recent months. Here she could far from her homeland compose in peace intense  new songs and melodies. For her album "Crystal Sky" Lena picked up support from producer team BIFFCO from Brighton and the Beatgees - each are masters of their craft.

Now Lena is not only with her new single "Beat To My Melody" in her wings, but presents us with the same title a whole remix EP. "Beat To My Melody" is a Lena's absolute favourite songs and was along with Sam Preston (inter alia songwriter Olly Murs) and Kat Vinter in London in the studio of Jonny Coffer (inter alia songwriter of Naughty Boy, Sam Smith, Leona Lewis). For the radio edit of "Beat To My Melody" Lena brought the successful producer team Madizin on board who has worked with Tokio Hotel, Alvaro Soler, Leyk & Decoy, Sarah Connor and Glasperlenspiel. Just recently Madizin went platinum with their remix of "Horny Life".

It seems almost as if to start at the same rapid pace as the last has stopped, the new year for Lena. The impressive success of the last single "Wild And Free", which was the title song from the huge German film blockbuster success "F * ck You, Goethe 2" and has reached gold status, the new single Beat to my  melody is in no way inferior.  [Translation from the German Press Text]

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Lena has won the Eurovision song contest with the playful song Satellite and her career has progressed a lot and now she has reached the point that can travel to various countries and work with the best songwritters. Her song Beat To My Melody in its original form is a cheerful track that has great story to tell to the listener and the sound is floating and dreamy so certainly radio stations will adore it. The remix package is extensive with Madizin delivering beautiful tropical house version with xylophone melodies and tropical grooves and exotic orient colour. Younotus remix is one of the strongest with deep pulsating basslines, techy grooves and melodramatic strings. Sterio goes all the way to the dubstep/trap zone for a tripping out version with sexy smooth edge. Dayne S remix is used on the music video and is the most accomplished version with creative artistic touches and irresistible groove for dancing in the sunny Greek beaches.  Robin Grubert remix is sweet and pop friendly too. Great package of a song that can make the surprise hit in Europe. Love It[/content]
