REVIEW: Riton feat. Kah - Lo - Rinse & Repeat out on Ministry Of Sound

Riton is readying the stage for some fresh moves in 2016 with new single ‘Rinse & Repeat’. Originally surfacing to some underground attention at the end of 2015, the track has been newly mixed and mastered for white label release.

The double R attack finds the distinguished producer and DJ in peak form and sounding as vital as ever. Bringing together pumping afterhours acid house with a defiantly hedonistic club mantra recited by Lagos, Nigeria based vocalist Kah-lo, ‘Rinse & Repeat’ channels equally the exhilarating sensation of the mid-noughties dance renaissance as much as it feels like an intoxicating mirroring of its time.

Riton emerged with the Ed Banger crew as one half of Carte Blanche with DJ Mehdi, their seminal single ‘Gare Du Nord’ becoming one the biggest-selling Ed Banger releases. A series of singles and EP under his own moniker with a host of respected labels followed alongside global tours and residencies. Recent musical endeavors are as varied as co-producing Mark Ronson’s collaboration track ‘Daffodils’ with Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker, touring with Ronson on the 2014 Back To Back tour and taking part in krautrock collective Die Verboten alongside SoulWax.

Riton’s latest move found him in New York where he holed up for 6 months in an isolated studio above a dumpling factory recording new music. ‘Rinse & Repeat’ is the first track to emerge of this period of creativity ahead of more music to come, including upcoming remixes for Disclosure and Frances.

Remixes by Busy P & Bostun Bun + Danny Howard !!!

Dimitri Kechagias review: It's time to meet one of the biggest future hits of 2016. The well known label for finding big dance hits Ministry Of Sound presents the massive Rinse & Repeat by Riton featuring Kah. The track is supported by two excellent remixes that make instantly the difference. Busy P & Bostun Bun provide the very funky and extremely infectious tech house version with minimal synthy layers, bouncy groove, smashing naughty basslines and great application of the so different and excellently produced original female vocal that awake your body juices.  The beloved Danny Howard is an excellent remixer and he proves it with his 80's old school infused dark house version with very freaky tribal drums, moody gloomy basslines, rave style keys and stretched and punched vocal snippets. It's dark and underground perfect for all seasons and festival favourite too. Get ready for  Rinse & Repeat! #PureGold 10/10 Love It
