ADE 2015: Get familiar with Roland’s latest AIRA gear

Participate in workshops and get a hands-on with Roland’s latest AIRA gear at the Compagnietheater. The brand new modular instruments will be playable from ADE's Thursday through Saturday.

If you're planning on visiting ADE Sound Lab make sure to grab the annual ADE Card, which allows you to access MusicTalks and live performances.

The TR-909, TR-808 and TB-303 have been shaping electronic music ever since Roland gave birth to them in the early eighties. Even today, the deep kick drums and acidic bass lines of these acclaimed instruments are a much-heard and essential element in the tracks of producers worldwide.

Roland’s new AIRA series takes out the vintage interface, but maintains the iconic sounds of the original instruments while catering to the ever-expanding needs of today’s musicians. With intuitive control and the innovative performance features, the renewed drum machines and synthesizers are an evolution of their hailed forerunners.

Embracing the hands-on performance of modular synthesizers, Roland also presented the SYSTEM-1m, Torcido, Bitrazer, Scooper and Demora instruments. Musicians accustomed to modular synthesis but also newcomers will know their way around on these pieces of digital technology very swiftly. Furthermore, two of the most cherished modular instruments ever – the SYSTEM-700 and SYSTEM-100m – have been reinterpreted into the modern, all analogue SYSTEM-500.

During the Modular Market event at ADE Sound Lab, Roland will be showcasing not only the ARIA line, but also their analogue effects and some brand new gear that will premiere at ADE. Visit the Compagnietheater for workshops, master classes and an extensive hands-on!
