Vello Virkhaus and Peter Martin will be taking you into a journey of their virtual reality at ADE Beamlab.
We have some exciting news for fans of high-end live visual entertainment. Vello Virkhaus, a genuinely game-changing visual mastermind, and VALIS founder Peter Martin, will both be appearing at this year’s ADE Beamlab. Virkhaus is CEO and creative director at V-Squared Labs, and has worked on stage concepts with Amon Tobin, Skrillex, and Steve Aoki, as well as on projects for Red Bull, Budweiser, and the Ultra Music Festival. During his presentation at Beamlab Virkhaus will be revealing his most recent work alongside discussing and demonstrating some of the latest technology and what it means for future shows.
In 2010 Peter Martin moved to Los Angeles to set up VALIS Studios, where he was creative director on the world’s first holographic duet between M.I.A. and Janelle Monae for the launch of the new Audi A3, in which the artists simultaneously appeared both in real life and in virtual form in New York and Los Angeles in a specially constructed immersive environment. At the beginning of this year he left SFX to form a partnership with SFX CMO Chris Stephenson’s new creative agency CR8, specialising in next-level Virtual, Experiential and Immersive content for new and emerging platforms. At Beamlab Martin will be revealing some of the projects he and Stephenson are currently working on and discussing the role of technology in creativity.
