Aruba is gearing up for the third edition of the Electric Festival. In collaboration with Amsterdam Dance Event and main sponsor Aruba Tourism Authority the organizers, the twins Maurice and Karim Neme, are working on a four-day event on the 'Happy Island'. The Electric Festival Aruba will take place from Thursday to Sunday 3-6 September, featuring top international DJs as well as ADE Global Sessions.
The first names of the line-up are known. Among others, NERVO (Australian sisters Liv and Mim,who celebrate the release of their forthcoming debut artist album, Collateral) is coming to the Caribbean. Amsterdam Dance Event presents a program at Electric Festival under the name ADE Global Sessions.
The first two editions were attended by more than 15,000 people in both 2013 and 2014. With artists and speakers such as Chus & Ceballos, Dave Clarke, DJ Chuckie, Erick Morillo, Fellow, Knife Party, Lil John, Loco Dice, Maarten Vorwerk, Mike Henderson, Nicole Moudaber, No Eat No Sleep, Partai, REVOLT TV, Slash, Stacey Pullen and many others, ADE and EF have once again joined forces with full confidence.
Visitors in previous years came not only from neighboring countries like Curacao, Bonaire, Suriname, Venezuela, USA, Brazil and Colombia, but also fans from the Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Italy and Ireland made the crossing. Moreover, some eighty journalists reported on the festival.
Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) presents ADE Global Sessions on Aruba. ADE Director Richard Zijlma: ‘With ADE Global Sessions we strengthen the ties between regional markets and the international dance industry. We invite key players who participate in exclusive events, Q&As and master classes, This edition will have a strong focus on Latin America and the Caribbean. It will be a more intimate and high-quality program that we will also present online.’
The Electric Festival is more than just music. Also art, the Caribbean kitchen and lifestyle are highlighted. During the event, Aruba is the scene of studio sessions, workshops and demonstrations by DJs, producers, artists and fans, showing once more that it’s the center of the electronic dance movement in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Aruban tourist bureau is the main sponsor of the event, in the conviction that it will grow into an internationally esteemed festival and that in its wake a surge of new visitors will come to discover Aruba. This will allow Aruba to grow further and also in the future be a welcoming place for tourists.
