1-Original mix
2-Wellenrausch's deep matter remix
Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional record label Afterglow records is back after its first release for 2015 that was the magical Rex Mundi anthem Garden that included an unforgettable Gai Barone remix as well. The latest release comes again from the safe and trusted hands of Rex Mundi and is called Echo supported by Wellenrausch remix. The original version is a magnificent progressive trance anthem on the usual high class that you expect from Rex Mundi. If progressive trance is what you are really searching for this record is the definition of that genre. Chunky groovy techy beat, haunting deep basslines with mysterious echo sounds on top along with cinematic atmospheres and electronic synthy lines. It's one of those cases that you close your eyes and let yourself experience the magic particularly in the breakdown when this very romantic and strange dark melody appears and slowly cast a spell on you. Its moody, its strange, its unexpected and certainly awakes your senses and imagination to run wild and free as you can visualise those sonic experiences into mental images. Wellenrausch remix is an even deeper affair with tribal drums and superb percussion, xylophone melodies, distorted vocal samples and mesmerising haunting themes that come and go as you carried away by the deep rolling bassline. The main medieval melodic theme appears in the breakdown to give you shivers and feel the hair from your back stand still without any scientist in the whole world to be able to tell us why our body reacts in that way when we hear heartfelt melodies like the one included on this track. Electronic synths, pulsating basslines and mysterious atmosphere will take you on board for an unexpected journey for the mind, body and soul. #PureGold Love it
