FEATURE: Kwettr finalist Midem Marketing Competition

Kwettr is a finalist of the annual Midem Marketing Competition. Midem is one of the world’s most renowned international music conferences.

On Sunday June 7th, the finalists will present their idea at Midem 2015 in Cannes. The winner of the competition will be revealed in the afternoon. Black Hole Recordings’ New Media & Marketing Manager and Kwettr founder, Bas Kruijssen, is proud on being one of the finalists. “Using social media as a payment method is innovating. Within the stores that we rent out, consumers receive their purchase by paying with a tweet. Visitors can buy ‘free’ music and companies receive valuable data about their clients. We started only a few months ago, but Kwettr is already successful. Being a finalist motivates us to keep going and develop further.”

The online pop-up stores use #paywithatweet: consumers buy products and pay by sending a tweet. No credit card or bank details are needed. The consumer does not need an account and is only a click away from the product. Companies receive new Twitter followers and valuable data about their costumers. Kwettr monitors the pop-up store during the rental period and manages optional Twitter Ad campaigns.

The digital pop-up stores can be rented for a certain period of time or until stock expires. The period ranges from four weeks until three months or even half a year. The price depends on the rental period. An Ad campaign on Twitter helps to reach more potential consumers and gain more Twitter followers. Online pop-up stores are interesting for all companies that want to reach and gain more costumers.
