It’s been a while in the making but Johnny Yono’s debut original E.P., “Poison Whispers” is here and next up on Perfecto Fluoro.
After strong remixes for Paul Oakenfold’s “Hold That Sucker Down” and “Barber’s Adagio For Strings” from 2014’s “Trance Mission” album project, Johnny has brought us a humungous 3 track E.P. of quality trance featuring Poison Whispers which saw early support in the form of inclusion on the We Are Planet Perfecto – Vol. 4 album in October 2014.
Next up is “Everything We’re Made Of” which, as its named suggests, shows just how much Johnny puts into his music. Intense and cutting basslines backed with perfect atmosphere and a massive melody.
Last but not least, “Lucid Eyes” is a fantastic ender to the package with an altogether more chilled feel, but keeping the quality and strength of production throughout.

Thanks to the beautiful people at Perfecto Fluoro we are treated first class with the massive Poison Whispers E.P. with 3 top new productions and an Oakenfold edit as cherry in the pie as well. Johnny's usual sound is combination of electro, progressive and trance elements in a very unique mixture that the dancefloors adore. It is true that this EP is a step ahead in his career as he moves towards a wholesome rounded progressive trance sound that the current club goers demand to get. With attention to melodies and drive rather than the sharp basslines all 3 tracks will please the trance heads. Poison Whispers as the title implies is a powerful melodic progressive trancer with the moody aggressive bassline Johnny sound in it. With big room trance tendencies is great mixture of pure and mainstage peak time trance that Armin van Buuren for instance supports. It is packed with massive sidechain effects, swirling synths and electrified basslines. The breakdown is mysterious with chopped vocal samples and incredible fluorescent synthy riffs that will crawl under your skin instantly. The climax is floating and anthemic with hands in the air feeling throughout. You feel flying high at the back of your Pegasus in your imagination thats for sure. The label owner, legend and hard worker Paul Oakenfold does his own shorter than the original edit by keeping the parts that works better for his set to get the instant gratification factor. Everything We’re Made Of is an excellent euphoric uplifting trancer with rolling drums, energetic pulsating basslines and superb synthy themes. The climax is packed with ethereal themes, romantic piano chords and dreamy heavenly voices. The build up is rough and intense until the beat to strike back to lead the track into oblivion. It is euphoric, uplifting, warm and with certain sweetness to it that makes it perfect for Ibiza style sets as when you listen to it you can imagine blue oceans and wonderful blissful themes. Lastly Lucid Eyes continues on the same balearic infused progressive trance sound with techy drums and metallic basslines while the heavenly voices and the multiple melody layers create that organised chaos that we all love in trance! It's one of those tracks that you play in your warm up part of your dj set and change the mood of your audience instantly! #PureGold Love iT
