Lance Gurisik aka Lancelot made an impressive debut on Anjunadeep last year with “Givin’ It Up”, which along with the huge MK remix picked up Radio 1 play from T. Williams, Skream, Mistajam and Danny Howard, and glowing coverage from Pitchfork and Mixmag.
In the year that followed Lance has dropped another memorable EP on Anjunadeep, remixed dance-pop legends The Presets, debuted his live show and scored a major Australian TV show. He returns to the label with “Connection”, his first single of 2015. Stripped back to the dancefloor essentials, “Connection” revolves around an atmospheric repetitive groove, punctuated with shimmering melodic flourishes and snippets of textured vocal samples.
Remixes from Mak & Pasteman and Outboxx follow in April 2015.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Anjunadeep is a wonderful label that respects our ears and doesn't pollute them with sonic rubbish. For that reason Anjunadeep is considered as one of the most popular underground labels that search for the new innovative sounds. The latest release by Lancelot is called Connection and as you can easily guess is a magnificent dreamy deep house excursion into the unknown. Deep house at its very best with deep haunting moody basslines, chunky rolling groove, percussion that rocks. On top the tasty deep house pie is sprinkled with electronic melodies, cinematic strings, distorted synths and awesome chopped vocal parts. The results is hypnotic journey that is soulful, touching and truly sensitive able to put you in the right atmosphere and offer you the great chance to dive deep in your heart and find what is hidden inside and make the right connection with the ones you love. #PureGold Love It
