16 Bit Lolitas aka Peter Kriek and Ariaan Olieroock have re-emerged in the past 12 months as a real production powerhouse, with two hugely successful EPs on Anjunadeep. After picking up big support from the likes of Pete Tong, Tensnake and Sasha with the anthemic ‘Deep In My Soul’ and ‘Beat Organ’, the Dutch duo are back with another heavy hitting three track EP.
Title track ‘Not The Only One’ is an infectious end of night roller, carried by warm heavy low-end, mysterious vocal loop and delicate melodic textures. ‘End Is Near’ is a more energetic but equally subtle affair, growing in intensity as it progresses to a rousing finale of bass stabs and swirling, atmospheric keys. Closing off the EP is the more mellow ‘I’ll Be True’, which combines washing Balaeric melodies with a funk-infused groove to brilliant effect.

The label that doesnt compromise and bring music that always stands out presents the latest EP by the beloved 16 Bit Lolitas called Not The Only One. Firstly is the title track Not The Only One that for me is the absolute example of electronic house. Its deep house but with so much melody, passion and cinematic atmosphere that deep trance jocks will play easily as well. Melodic soft and gentle like feather with haunting basslines, chunky rolling grooves, chopped vocal samples in the breakdown and warm synthy melodies. The breakdown is truly luscious and touching with balearic guitar riffs and the main vocal sample reminding us the title of track. Quality authentic melodic house sound that doesn't screams out for attention! Next is End is Near that moves towards deeper moody direction with bubbly fragile basslines, techy grooves and great airy atmosphere. Truly magical production with long breakdown followed by a wonderful climax packed with heavenly voices and electronic dreamy vintage sounds that transfer you to another higher level. Final track is the top I'll be True and that is definitely a very strong statement. The track has definitely a much more classic deep house feel with funky grooves combined with deep basslines, acoustic guitar riffs, great percussion and wide variety of nice melodies and sound effects that create an outstanding microcosmos that you want instantly to leave in for as long as this track lasts and if it is not enough you press the repeat button. It's simple as that when you see 16 bit Lolitas on the cover you know that is #HighClass release. #PureGold Love iT
