REVIEW: Sick Individuals - Wasting Moonlight (Remixes) out on Armada Music

‘Wasting Moonlight’ finally gets the all-star remix package it so badly deserves, with four brand new editions of the iconic track, suitable for every kind of taste.

Lucas & Steve bring a deep touch to the tune, while Jetfire brings pure mayhem, J-Trick’s on the bigroom and progressive front, while trance prince Andrew Rayel cranks the energy up to the max.

Another big release on Armada Music!

Dimitri Kechagias review: The upcoming and quickly rising to the top Dutch duo Sick Individuals had on Armada Music their massive festival anthem Wasting Moonlight with heartfelt female vocals that strike a chord in you whenever you hear them on a club or a radio station. The remix package is very extensive including remixes that target wide variety of audiences so expect to listen it  from deep house to trance sets. First of all Lucas & Steve transform the original into a magnificent 90's revival house version with old school garage house basslines, chunky techy grooves and emotional feel good piano chords and classic organ riffs in the breakdown. It makes you wanna grab somebody and start dancing along without giving a damn even if you are in the middle of the road and car drivers shouting at you. House music is back without doubts. Jetfire remix is an energetic punchy big room hardstyle house version that will drive crazy many fans out there. It starts with rough basslines and pumping grooves while on top distorted rave style synths are added to create that vicious rough atmosphere. The breakdown calms things down as the female vocal appears to sooth the pain and reassure the clubbers to sing a long with cool claps too. The build up is long and intense driving the track to its aggressive climax. J-Trick remix add even more energy to the proceedings with electro freaked out basslines and pounding drums that can cause earthquake while the breakdown allows the vocal to shine while the playful rave style melody plays underneath leading the track to its short uplifting climax until the heavy headbanging razor sharp drop arrives for the massacre on the dancefloor. The fourth and final remix is the most anticipated for me by Andrew Rayel. The magnificent Moldavian works with details and transforms the track into a massive big room euphoric trancer with the biggest synths that you have heard in a track recently. When I enjoyed this track in his performance I was looking forward to receive it and play it in my shows too. The breakdown is absolutely mesmerising with luscious strings, melancholic pianos and the unforgettable vocals that work perfectly along with Andrew's anthemic climax. So colourful, so unique so specials so Andrew Rayel. #PureGold Love it
