The brainchild of producer, composer and impresario Giuseppe Ottaviani, over the last five years the GO On Air’s multi-span platform has expanded to encompass a weekly radio show/podcast, mix-albums and club nights - all mandated to bring the best of the current/future best to electronic music fans.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Giuseppe Ottaviani is not just an amazing producer and composer but also a very able label owner with his own imprint Go On Air going from strength to strength with each single release. The first double CD compilation includes of course not only the releases of the label so far but many exclusives as well that are now in my hands as dj friendly samplers perfectly to mix and play in your dj set by imagining that you are Giuseppe behind his keyboards and samplers. The 3 dj samplers include 24 tracks in total that is pretty impossible to review in detail but I certainly can offer a soundbyte for each of them. Ilya Syntez - Awakening (Original Mix): Dreamy melodic balearic trancer with Hispanic guitars and melancholic pianos. 4 Strings - Into The Night (Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix): The classic is back in big room proglifting trance style with that magical synthy hook slightly changed waiting for u in the breakdown.Floe - Metroplex (Giuseppe Ottaviani Fix): Full on big room meets progressive trance anthem with floating synths and overall pleasant soundscapes. Ciaran McAuley - It Doesn't Rain Forever (Giuseppe Ottaviani Fix): Uplifting euphoric trance with heavenly female voices and straight forward arrangement on the pure trance theme. Narayana - Electra (Original Mix): Electro trancer at its best with aggressive rocking basslines and chunky techy grooves that doesn't compromise while on top in the breakdown mesmerising Melody is added as well with orient exotic touch followed by huge classic synthy theme. WeAreAliens - Outcast (Giuseppe Ottaviani Fix): Big room electro trance with old school trance influences and dark atmosphere. John Mash featuring Ariette Florence - Melancholia (Giuseppe Ottaviani Fix): The master himself adds his touch on this very emotional pure vocal trancer with driving basslines and old school trance aesthetics with vocal that is extra classy. Oskar Sawicki - A New Hope (Original Mix): Electro trancer with chunky grooves, freaked out basslines, chopped vocal samples and warm emotional synthy melodies to take you for a trance flight. Matt Chowski - Desire (Original Mix): Old school energetic uplifting trancer with harsh metallic basslines, acid overtones and heavenly female voices coupled with memorable themes. Matt Eray - Sun In The Morning (Original Mix): Uplifting trancer with sharp edgy basslines, strong dominating drive and energy to the very maximum. The breakdown is fantastic while the build up towards the straight to the point climax will give you goosebumps. Gordey Tsukanov - Karundo (Original Mix): Dark moody Coldharbour style trancer with big room tendencies and haunting melodic themes. Sied Van Riel featuring Adina Butar - 8 Decades (First Effect Remix): superb straight to the point uplifting vocal trance remix on the well known anthem released on Go On Air. Sygma & Tiff Lacey - Way of Dreams (Marco Bragadin Trance Mix): Melodic progressive meets uplifting trance style track with energetic basslines and Tiff Lacey shining with her performance and sounds comfortably sitting within the soundscape that Marco has created for her trance majesty. Dark Fusion featuring Amy Kirkpatrick - Red Sky (Original Mix) Full on headbanging hard trancer with dreamy female vocals by Amy who has that folk song tone to her performance contrasted with the darkness of the sonic foundation. Magical piano in the breakdown and phenomenal build up towards the uplifting climax. Burak & Emre - Reveal Yourself (Original Mix): Crunchy grooves, chunky electro basslines and massive rave style synthy in the blockbuster style breakdown. Pacific Nation - Waterfall (Original Mix): As the title suggests is a melodic balearic progressive trancer for the first hour of your set with chopped vocal samples and sharp electro kissed basslines. Alex Wackii & Johann Stone - Frisland (Original Mix) Big room monster tune with twisted basslines, punchy grooves and superb floating breakdown until to land on the full on hands in the air climax packed with sharp synthys stabs. Alex Ender - Treacherous (Original Mix): Excellent production that starts quite but slowly more hi-nrg synths are added while the breakdown is dominated from the beautiful piano melody followed by the burst of energy from the euphoric rave style warped synthy hook. Rene Ablaze feat. Crustal Blakk - See Mee (Original Bangin' Mix): Full on euphoric vocal trancer with heavenly romantic female vocals and classic synths for that pure trance feeling. Last but not least Ula - Road To Nowhere (Chris Metcalfe Remix) is the typical Go On Air sound that comes in your mind with classic trance arrangement and very strong emotional melancholic themes. Overall Giuseppe because of his production knowledge is able to understand which track is good or bad, which track is overproduced or cheaply produced so you expect that he chooses the best tracks out there representing what we call the trance sound of Go On Air. This compilation is great platform for new talents to shine and prepare our ears for the future. Just sit back and relax, we are in safe hands with pilot of our trance flight Giuseppe Ottaviani. #PureGold Love It
